Mine does not have a number size, it is tagged a size L. I’m usually a medium or a size 40. This has a p2p measurement of 54 cm. I’d say it fits one size smaller than suggested by the tag.
The more I wear it, the more convinced I am that this is objectively the best denim trucker ever made. Vintage Dickies that @Monitor very generously gifted to me. Thanks again brother!
I don’t think this will ever change. I’ve no deep pattern expertise but I believe this is just how this pattern looks when worn open.
Edit: I don’t think more taper to the body will fix the “problem” (I don’t see it as a problem) as it looks like a perfect amount of taper when zipped.
I absolutely take that as a compliment! The 70’s might be frowned upon for some more questionable fashion choices (velour suits come to mind) but there’s a lot to like about it as well.
