I've basically given up on owning an Aero, and the zippers are one of the biggest reasons. (Note: I have not handled or owned the Universal zipper.) But the very idea that on a super high end, and otherwise super high quality, hand made jacket they would (seemingly knowingly) use a trash...
I also like Pecard, but thought I was in the minority. Seems like others like it as well. Pecard has really been helpful for me on several older drying jackets. Good luck!
Steerhide vintage Californian I just picked up in the classifieds. I never really pull off this style but the quality on this one is superb and I love the fur collar.

Edit: I just looked at their site and they were established in 1932, so not R.M. Williams. This jacket was probably already 20-30 years old then if the original background is true. The first owner was in world war 1. I do appreciate the knowledge...
