thanks for the informative reply! it's quite old and there's only a 'genuine' leather tag on it, so it's likely not from somebody super reputable

    Goat or cowhide for winter?

i am looking for another b-15 in leather to replace it actually. I just wanted to get something higher quality that will last and needed some opinions. I was able to find out that my first one was fully cotton lined inside except for the sleeves

i already said i had a cotton lined bomber and never felt a shred of cold even on the coldest days. what you're suggesting is MASSIVE overkill

    Goat or cowhide for winter?

thanks for the reply! a lot of people tell me i have good cold resistance, but that really isn't true. I am chronically anemic and i get cold at room temperature. leather is just really good at keeping the wind out in my experience...like i've had -30C/-20F and i was never cold in my upper body...

thanks for the in-depth reply. I'm getting a leather one in the style you posted, and am waiting to hear from Johnson. I was thinking goat, but if you think horsehide is a good choice, i can inquire about that

Hi all. I want a custom b-15 leather bomber jacket, but after reaching out to various sites (aero, falcon, fivestar leather, cockpit USA) nobody wants to make it. i found a seller on etsy (i can post a link if later if that's allowed) that is willing to make what i want for only 600 USD. their...

Ask a question, get an answer

looking for a lightweight spring jacket, would cotton lining be fine? i wanted a bomber style coat but would having a fur trim around the cuffs, waste, and collar look stupid? should i go for a knit/ribbon trim?
