i ended up buying a Schott b3 one size up from my chest. question about break in, is it normal to not really be able to cross my arms? Also my sleeve rides a bit high when i move my arms to drive or something
additionally, the back feels a bit stiff and pulls a bit, Is that normal for a new jacket?
okay so even if i didn't gain, it would be just fine? It's perfect as is but i am just worried about it post-break in
i could of course get it altered but that's expensive
If i buy a new shearling jacket, if the length down to the waist is fine, can i expect it to remain the same way? will the shearling compress and fall lower? Also if i get a bit bigger in my arms, chest, etc. would that affect the way it falls too?
Well yes but I'm ordering from outside the US so I have to pay about 150 dollars.
I've read on the lounge that it's okay to go up a little due to the shearling taking space but I wanted more opinions
Getting a Schott b3 and should I size up? I wear a cotton lined b15 leather jacket with a 22 pit to pit and the size 36 Schott is 22.5. is that acceptable? I hear Schott is a bit oversized
what b6 are you referring to exactly because this guy has a seal brown eastman

it's practically black
yes, he said normally 2000 but because he quoted me 1500, that's what he said he'll do
honestly i would love to find schott's supplier and go straight to them for the skins
i'm not explaining this properly, his current stock is not the same as he normal stock, and he can get the sheepskin in the photos in a larger amount to make the coat
i would love to find out who schott gets their leather and sheepskin from and just get it from their supplier if i could
Thanks a ton so a couple of things
1. He said it's high quality and he imported it from Toronto but didn't say where it's from
2. The actual leather is rough. Almost like sandpaper. I asked why and he said it was normal and would soften with time but he had stock skins that were buttery smooth...
also added a few more images if that helps
Thanks for the insight but I am a little bit confused. He said it was double faced sheepskin but it feels quite rough on the leather. I did ask today if it was going to be treated or tanned or something to make it soft but he said no.
thanks!
when you go close, is the color a solid bronze brown or are there flecks of black/darker colors? to your eye, does it look like the images posted? I added some more
