This HD Sportster 'one pocket' came in the mail last week. I've been hunting down one of these for months, however it's been a struggle to find one in my size without paying in the $500-700 range. The seller gave me some odd measurements, but he accepted my $90 offer which was a gamble I was...
Recently found a vintage Kehoe that fits me well. They might be a "copy" brand but I prefer the cut of this jacket over most of my vintage Brooks. The leather is not as good of quality as a vintage Bates, but still quite nice - and this example has some really nice grain/creases on the sleeves.
Yep I remember seeing Terry's YouTube video of his jacket. I too like the unique angle of the chest pocket...not something you typically see.
In your YouTube video, I thought your version was black and not brown - I like this brown version as well. You mentioned in your review the Excelled...
Purchased this vintage (mint) Excelled half-belt today - surprisingly still has the older style label glued to the lining which tend to fall off. I rarely see old Excelled jackets that are made of horsehide so I had to have it... plus, it's my size, which is always a bonus dealing with anything...
Recent purchase from @regius - great guy to deal with all around.
Circa 50's-60's steerhide bootlegger style cross-zip - made by 'The Leather Garment Co Inc' out of San Francisco. I know nothing of this particular jacket maker, but the quality is fantastic.
Hi all - if anyone has a vintage leather jacket in a size 44-48 range they might be willing to sell for some extra cash, please shoot me a PM or email me with pics 'n' info to: manofvintage@gmail.com.
For half-belts - I'm always looking for the big three: Hercules, Sportclad, Windward - but any...
Up for grabs is what I believe to be a Sears Hercules half-belt crosszip made out of horsehide - there is no label of maker or hide type, but I own plenty of vintage horsehide, and this leather is indeed horse. I narrowed in on the manufacturer of this particular jacket after seeing an identical...
Up for grabs is a NorShor half-belt made from Horween horsehide - the leather has some phenomenal grain throughout. The main zip is a NOS Conmatic. Jacket is in practically new condition - tried on once, found it to not fit me - I'm a 44-46, this fits like a 42, or a tight 44.
Asking $470...
I agree :)
I own 4 other original deck jackets (in 44's/46's) and I paid double my asking price for each of those.
I'm hoping for a quick sale to clear up closet space.
