Vintage Lee 101J 22 1/8” back. Thanks @TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead
Just for fun today, here is the comparison of the Aero 101J in jerky. Ken nailed the cut on this. So close to the original with the just right amount of tweaks to the dimensions to make it work...
@dudewuttheheck there has been some good discussion over the past weekend here. You certainly have a lot to take in, however I often find that you are just running around in circles trying to find the perfect fit, the perfect leather, the perfect stitching, the perfect color, etc. that you lose...
Bison and Buffalo are not the same animal. Bison are North American "Buffalo". What Schott is selling is Bison, which has the big, pebbly grain.
What Thedi, for example, sells is Asian (or African?) Buffalo, by contrast.
The Buffalo from Thedi is stiffer than cowhide jackets, much higher...
Vanson, by far is the best fit. The RMC doesn't fit you at all. The Freewheelers looks great also and is a beautiful jacket, but with your style the Vanson just screams to be worn. The beauty of jackets like the Vansons and Schotts out there is they were meant to be worn hard and rough. It's...
I'm forever thankful as I don't think it could have fit any better at all. The sleeve length, back and front length, and chest are all perfect. I just need to tame the leather a bit as you weren't kidding with this jerky; it's bounces back and needs extra attention to get it to where you want...
Yea, my 118J is the brown, 80's model. It's honestly one of the coolest natural wear jackets I've ever seen, so I feel very lucky to own it.
I'll get some more pics with it here this week in Bulgaria along with the Aero 101J from @Monitor that I finally got in hand :).
Schott 118J today in some below freezing weather. I should have taken a pic before I added the scarf, but it got too cold by the time I got around to taking this. I really like this fit today though.
Leather is great if you ask me. Super soft, buttery cowhide. I don't really have anything that's comparable. It's too early for any wear for me, but I imagine it will look great with some teacore showing through.
Also, the collar is fantastic. Gives a really nice spread when you wear it and...
My Bravestar Badlands jacket in black teacore arrived Friday.
I tried it on for the first time last night and wore it on the couch for a couple of hours. It’s amazing how quick the creases have formed. Great smell to the cowhide, buttery soft. . I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I like the...
I like the whole ensemble. What trousers are those? The herringbone fabric looks great and I've recently become quite attached to herringbone with my Freenote Cloth Western pants.
She wrong. I actually think the higher rise and wider leg suit you well and are needed on some of your fits, especially your shorter jackets.
I have a washed lamb and it looks nothing like this. You sure it's isn't shrunken lamb you have?
I really like it from the back. I think from the front it looks a bit oversized with the armholes and upper arm areas, but that will likely dissipate once it breaks in more the leather creases, rolls, and settles down.
Well done!
