I agree that for that kind of dough, you need to enjoy the ride. With Greg Field, for example, our little back and forth on Instagram messaging is enjoyable, never stressful, always fun, even if I am multiple months to a year out. I feel like he caters and cares so much, even caring as much as...
Nice find. Me likey. I always tend to go on runs of love with Schott and then move onto another brand. But I always come back. They are amazingly comfortable for me and their simplicity, in a sense, is refreshing on what often becomes an overly stuffy, too many details to remember/figure out...
In seriousness, that is a fine looking jacket. I love the choice of leather. I probably couldn't pull it off, but it's a great choice. The Chevalier is a badass design and one of, if not the, best Himel patterns they make.
As for the whole process, I'm sorry that it soured you a bit, but as...
There is a picture of this jacket on a guy who bought it in the styleforum thread. Needless to say, it's not a flattering fit for the guy as the jacket is nearly half as long as his entire body. I won't repost the picture here, but if you find it you'll know.
Exactly. Look at how it has to flair out underneath the belt to fit his hips and rear end. I'm a similar size as Marc, 5'10" 190-195lbs, also wearing a size 42 in pretty much most jackets. My 613H has a 23 1/8" back length and if I was to get this new jacket it would look absurd on me...
Some measurements. Again, far too long for anyone of average height and under:
Hi Brian,
Here's the measurements for sizes M and L.
Size M-Back length-26", cross shoulder-17 5/8', sleeve length ( from shoulder)-25 5/8", pit to pit-21".
Size L-Back length-26', cross shoulder-18 5/8", sleeve...
I asked and they don't have the spec sheet on these yet so no idea the dimensions. From what I see, it's longer than the normal 613/618, which is a deal breaker for me.
I love the collar, lapels, removable belt, and choice of leather. I don't love the center seam back design though, but it wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker except for the fact that it doesn't have shoulder gussets, which I prefer.
Still, some details on length would be nice as that...
Cuio deer sounds most interesting to me of those choices. My dream would be to get deerskin in the same or similar burnt burgundy color that my John Lofgren engineers came in, but I know that is not too realistic. :)
