    Field Leathers

Ah, thanks for expanding. I understand now. I quite like the thin top stitch. Makes for a very sleek look and pairs well with a slim fit. It's fancier and perhaps more feminine but sometimes you need a touch of feminine in your style. For my jacket, I wanted a black cross zip but didn't want it...

Glad y'all like my jacket! I welcome critiques, too. Curious to learn more and it won't diminish the jacket for me. I suppose I was going for the fashion fit with my FL. Being a slim guy, a lot of leather jackets are cut for a bigger frame than I can fill. Part of that is the 50s look that Marc...

    Field Leathers

I have been meaning to share my FL experience and it seems now is a good time, with some doubts swirling. Another case study might help those in the queue. But I want to start at the beginning. As @Aloysius astutely pointed out, I'm one of those whose interest in leather jackets stems from my...

    Field Leathers

Glad you like it! This is from my jacket, which will hopefully be arriving this week. The pocket was inspired by @Marc mndt's pocket on his brown FL jacket. For my jacket, Greg made the pocket points a little less pointy, which I think works well with the overall 50s styling of the jacket. It's...

I'd say it depends. From my experience, it seems Sam lines up the spec and pattern ahead of time, so there is still a queue for production. Finalizing the pattern doesn't mean the jacket immediately goes into production. Once my spec was ready, it was a few weeks before my pattern was being cut.

    Field Leathers MC-MLC Jacket

Thanks for the pics! Think I'll go for that interior pocket. They're so damn convenient. You should put some more miles on this one. It's a great fit and great color for you. Hard (impossible?) to get a perfect jacket.

    Field Leathers MC-MLC Jacket

@Pandemic, great jacket. I’m working on something similar. Some bling deleted, but also some added back for mine. Curious about the interior pocket… has the welt made an impression on the outside leather? My plan is to have one in the same spot so would be good to know how it ages. Maybe this...

    Schott 641 Fit Questions

To the OP: I'm pretty much the same size as you and I have a 641HH in size 34. I purposefully sized down to get a slim and trim fit. The waist is certainly trim (I'm also a 28/29 in jeans) as it takes a bit of effort to zip it up, but once zipped it feels comfortable and there's a flattering V...

    Field Leathers

Update: I went digging back in this thread and others and found some good info from @Marc mndt and @Canuck Panda. The "natural" state of the aniline is very cool. It seems very pliable, allowing it to crease, roll, and conform to body shape in a way that the top coated leathers can't quite do...

Great looking jacket @XOlive! I've got an order in with Greg and trying to make some decisions ahead of time. The plan is for a black cross zip and the first big decision is leather: black aniline, black tea core, or black pony? I'm hoping owners of these can weigh in with their experiences...
