    Lost World’s Roadhouse - 42

@Kunja How easy is it to use the buttons on the pockets? Given the thickness of the leather.

    Phillips 66 Half-belt Steerhide jacket-c.1950-Size: 46/48

A great jacket at a great price! You can buy this one from Terry, or you can go by this other one for $1400...

    Lost World’s Roadhouse - 42

I’ve always thought this was such a great jacket style. Both minimalist and distinctively cool. I remember trying one on once, and the cuffs did seem very tight, not sure why LW does that on this jacket.

Thinking about having my Brooks CR shortened

I say Yes. Especially because the jacket looks to be in such good condition. If you get it just the way you want it you can wear it for many many years.

Footwear to go with our jackets

That square toe kinda rocks! (I’ve heard that they make the boots for Dundas.)

Aero Leather Premier Highwayman black CXFQHH 42

The Pit to Pit seems disproportionately small. Is it more if fully stretched out..?

*SOLD* FS: Flathead Single Rider Jacket (SRJ-07C) sz.44/XXL

That's a good looking jacket for sure. Funny that they label it an "XXL" -- it's basically a Large/42 in my book. Any pics of you (or someone) wearing it?

Footwear to go with our jackets

Yes, I found the fully gusseted tongue on my BH's to be unbearable. I ended up just cutting down the sides of the tongue myself to make, in effect, a partially gusseted tongue (as on the Semi Dress boots) and it was SO much better...

FREE TO A GOOD HOME: Sears Oakbrook cafe racer, 42

Probably too much of a pain to ship to the US, but if you're able and willing I would give it a try. And if it doesn't work for me I'd pass it along for free to someone else. But if you want to keep only in the EU I totally understand...

Footwear to go with our jackets

White’s often have that issue with the lacing area. They’ve actually started offering an option for closing that up — called I think “open instep”..?

Footwear to go with our jackets

Here’s a size 12 on the ebay now. Price is at the upper end but I bet they would take a lower offer. When new the leather seems very drab, but after a few months of wear (and no treatment!) it starts looking good. My last pair I wore several times a week for over ten years! They looked ideal at...

What advantage does Lochcarron Tartan have over heavy cotton drill?

Interesting. I would have thought that wool tartan was warmer than cotton drill. Even if not drastically so.

Footwear to go with our jackets

They call these their “engineer boots,” which they used to make and sell on their own but then for several years made them for LL Bean. I am pretty sure they are out of production now, but many close-to-new pairs show up on the ebay, for anywhere from about $60 to $120. What size are you in...

Johnson Leathers Horween 4 oz Black overdye Custom size 42 / 44

Yes, a cool jacket. The lining took me by surprise, but I warmed up to it quickly...

Chippewas. I really like the way the leather looks on these after a couple years of wear.

Gustin’s new L4 in Horween Horsehide

To each his (or her or their) own of course, and I see why some are not fans of these higher slash pockets, but I like them! Certainly there's an aesthetic effect, just adding something a little extra to the design. But they are also functional -- I use the ones on my Dave Sheeley custom coat...

Vintage Outerwear: Threads of the Past

Also, Langlitz has recently revived the button down leather jacket with knitted collar and cuffs, similar to the patterns in the Sears ad.
