Uh oh. The past tense here in reference to the Roughwear has me a little worried that you've sold my ultimate jacket and I somehow missed it. Say it isn't so...:(
Posted these pics a week or two ago, RDTs on the left. My experience with them is mixed. Overall I like them and am glad I have them. But the cork soles with metal taps on the front did not really work for me -- the metal taps were VERY slippery, and the original heel too tall for me. So I had...
FYI, this is a catch-and-release for me. I will post a separate listing soon, but if anyone is interested in the jacket I will sell it for what I paid JMax for it, $175 (a bargain!). To me, it's one of the very coolest jackets out there, but sadly a little tight on me.
Current boot lineup:
Rolling Dub Trio / Chippewa / White's
5 years old / 3 years / 7 years
[The White's got a lot of wear for about 4 or 5 years, but they really are too big for me and I've sort of stopped wearing them very often. RDT got good wear before the Covid, but less...
For a minority report, I have to say that I like the OP's cafe racer jacket. Admitting the problems detailed above, if it fit me and looked good I would wear the heck out of it. I like the lines of the jacket, and it's an unusual (to me) lining for a CR.
With regard to elastic in the shoulder...
All very cool jackets for sure. I suspect that with the stripes and what not they need to find the right buyers. That fourth one is a stunner -- but on the small side.
As a riding jacket the sleeves would be too short for me, but for casual wear perhaps not. Just see how they feel when you stretch your arms out and they ride up a bit.
It's interesting, I had every Aero jacket I try on fit like yours appears to -- that is, felt tight across the chest, even...
I am thinking of relining an old CR jacket, and need to figure out what material to use. I plan to use if for summer riding, so don't want a quilted lining. And I'd like it to be less "grabby" to put on than cotton drill. Basically, the sort of thinner fabric you find in the old Brooks...
This is a really cool 60s CA retro style shirt that I got a few years ago, but have never washed or worn except to try it on. I am 6' about 185 lbs (and slightly in need of a Manssiere) and it's just a bit too tight for me. It's "new with tags" as you can see. I must have been feeling flush...
My favorite style of t shirt, and sometimes I end up with some that just don't work for me. These three have all been washed once and tried on for size, but are otherwise unworn. All marked XL but differing slight in measurements, listed below. The 3Sixteen is the heaviest, their "heavy...
I recently picked this up from Terry but it doesn't quite work for me, so am relisting it here for what I paid -- $100 shipped in the US. Terry knows a lot more about these jackets than I do, so I am going to link to his original post, which in turn has links to more pics and a video...
