As far as break in is concerned, the goat as softened and is a beauty to wear. It doesn't really show much break in though, not like a thick steerhide or HH jacket can.

I know that Aero were using Connolly around this time & I have owned another Highwayman that was made from Connolly Steerhide (since passed on to another lounger).
This one IS very similar to that hide (certainly shows very similar grain & has a very soft hand), but...

Interesting question posed at the start of this thread.
I live in Sydney Australia, so we do have a winter, but in all honesty it's only really cold enough for heavy leather jackets for around 10 weeks or so. Most year's this is the time of year that my Wife and I select to have a holiday, so...
I ashamed to admit that I’ve ‘only’ got 9 at the moment..... :(
AND that’s when we only have approximately 10 weeks out of the year with weather suitable for leather jackets.

Yup. that was pretty much the point of this thread.
We all have stunning jackets, some are lucky enough to have several. When it all comes down to it, I suspected that there were a whole other type of jacket that saw the light of day when we’re off to run errands etc & a big, heavy leather...
Ok, another simple idea for a thread, what's your favourite grab-and-go jacket?
I mean, we all have 'favourite' jackets, some of which hardly see the light of day for one reason or another (eg heavy leather does not always equal ease of use).
So I'm curious, which jacket of yours actually sees...
