+1 I also have a pair of these and they are ~ 11 years old. Excellent boots. No arch support but very comfortable once broken in. Sometimes you can even find them on sale/clearance.
You can find them used. Similar White's options include the 350 Cruiser & Cutter.
I have both and like them a lot, however I would give the slight edge to Nicks in terms of QC and for still being an independent, family run business.
If you live near the Kansas City metro area, and could wear a tidy "size 42" this $40.00 Branded crosszip maybe a golden ticket for you! (Facebook Marketplace) -...
Interesting design by Banana Republic from the later '90's. Some of their offerings from that time period had decent quality to them, and in this case, a rather unique button-up design and collar/lapel arrangement. Men' "M" and $199/offer.

That's still a really beautiful jacket! If anything you have given it character, and helped move it into a "well pre-loved territory.
I am glad to know you are re-welcoming it into your wardrobe. It certainly looks good on you and no-one external of yourself would ever place a "does not fit...
I'm saddened to hear this story, and rightly so as it does indeed take a lot of work to break in CXL leather.
Did you have any photos of the jacket to share - as-is?
I think what most have said here - sell & move on, is the most effective choice. Hard to do as there's lot of sentimental...

Overall/generally I find I like "lined" wool Pea Coats and other wool items much better than un-lined. Is that one of the items on the list for comfort for you? I...
Excellent! That fit is spot-on, and you indeed seem to really enjoy it!
How does Pinnacle feel? Does it feel similar or different from Horween CXL? (If you have any of that)
I believe this is one of the first I have seen of this leather, but I do think there is a dedicated thread for...
Here is a nice pair of Bilt Buck Horsebutt Engineer boots in popular size 11D. Also known as Attractions Lot 444. These are just ever so slightly too short for my left toe area, I have worn them some and still may decide I can live with it, do not know how I would ever acquire another pair of...
Up for sale is a great pair of Nicks' Ranger boots, size 12.5D. These boots have seen very little use, so even thought they had a production date of 11/2017, most of the very slight marks on these are from being moved around in a closet. I have worn them only 3 times since I acquired them, and...
I barely mentioned it earlier, just in the What Jacket are You Wearing Today thread, but I snagged another straight zip Columbia off ebay. A pretty decent deal overall. It has a little wear on the zipper pull, which I believe may be due to the zipper itself in this jacket being so very stiff...
