My dad asked me to let you know, he's 100% positive that this is a man’s vintage Grenfell Raincoat circa early 1960s.... said it's a million times superior to a Burberry.
Thanks Mark... I've emailed you explaining why there's been a delay in getting back to you, I'm waiting for word from production about the feasibility of some of your requests.
I'll add there was no irritation in my previous mail, merely pointing out that these problems are exactly the...
This isn't the case.... perhaps a poorly worded news story that's all! We're still taking them, just not actively advertising the fact as when we did we were bombarded with trade-ins, more than we can keep on top of! :)
This is very strange. Ken said that no matter how hard he pulls the straps on his he can’t shift them without undoing them and readjusting. Even, when making a jacket in even very thin leather they just won’t shift. If you email me at holly@aeroleatherclothing.com, and reference this post...
Most of the A-2 patterns have been sorted, proper horsehide leather used instead of some of the hides used between 2004-2012.
The Bronco was never wrong but the picture that was online was in awful leather in a jacket for someone approx. 5’4” tall. Rachel will be putting new pics up as soon...
The contract was issued by Graham Churchyard on behalf of Vita Ray Productions. Graham is an old friend of Ken’s from The Thrift Shop days, this is why he came to Aero.
We are a bit backlogged with post-Christmas mail, but should be back on top of things soon. Tho I'm about to put up an autoreply today explaining I'll be out of the office most of the week for a business trip. So if you're emailing me please note I might not be able to respond til next week...
When you say you're a 46" chest, is that expanded or natural? I always ask customers for the following measurements, to be taken over the clothes they would like to wear with the jacket... for example if you will wear it with a thick sweater, measure yourself whilst wearing one.
Height...
Glad to see Carrie has sorted this for you, but I'd like to add the Thunderbay and the Highwayman should usually be ordered in the same size... and we've never changed the size patterns, they are the same now as they have always been!
If anyone is unsure about which size they should be...
Thanks Jeff, I certainly would ask anyone with any issues to please contact me. I am usually back logged with enquiries to deal with and sometimes it can take me a day or two (sometimes more depending on the issue/enquiry - if I need to discuss with colleagues) but I will get back to you. As...
Could you please PM me with your name/email address so I can look into this? So sorry about the mis-listing, with A-2s sometimes its easy to make a mistake with listings for leather types - this certainly wasn't intentional! PM me and we'll make sure it's sorted out. The office is actually...
Can you PM me with your email address so I can look into this? I always try and respond to every email, but often I have to forward on to production for answers and sometimes when I assume they've taken this up with a customer they have missed it. It's very hard for me to keep up with...
Actually, this design was cut especially to be sheepskin lined, so it's not done on a bigger shell as other standard jackets are when fitted with sheepskin lining :)
Sorry Frank! Simple error here... think Rachel's having a bit of a bad week. I think this got mixed up with exchanges when Ken was looking over your measurements for your replacement. It's now safely back in our evidence section in the store room, and off sale!
Thanks for pointing this out...
'Jerky' is a term that came from a conversation between Ken Calder and Mark Moye in the late 1990s. We had given a very grainy vintage Horsehide jacket to a UK Tannery and asked them to replicate the look, grain, finish and weight plus the method of spray finish on a lighter base skin to help...
I think the problem we're having sometimes is having to re-cut some of the pieces that have been ditched into smaller jackets to get something useable out of them, but obviously we'll make as varied a selection of sizes as we can out of what we've unearthed!
Hopefully some bigger sizes will...
