Furthermore, we really appreciated the huge attendance at our 2016 Open Day, with so many visitors flying to Scotland plus a steady flow from South of the Border as well as all our locals. So, to show our appreciation for everyone making the trip to Galashiels we like to give something back for...
It's all gonna be replicas of stuff Ruskin made originally, or things closely in keeping with, so 1968-73 feel :)
Yes, they've misspelt his name every time in that interview! o_O
The Ruskin label won't be fitted in any Aero styles I'm afraid... hopefully you'll find something you like when we launch Ruskin fully. This will be in some time, there's only been one two samples made for now, in only one style so its still early days :)
I'm sorry you're upset about this. At the time of your request there really was no plans to ever make this jacket. We were approached by Basic Rights about the collaboration, and it took some convincing to do it, but eventually we agreed - it was never a plan to do this jacket as an Aero...
Yeah, its certainly a different market - personally, its exactly the style of thing I've been dying for him to make again. Very excited to be working on this.
Ahhh the book would be quite a read, if only his memory was a little better! ;)
Feel free to email me for some help with this - if you haven't already. I'm on holly@aeroleatherclothing.com if you'd like to. But someone mentioned the Cafe Racer is very much a 'V-shaped fit', fairly generous at the shoulders/chest tapered down to the waist and hem. The Board Racer is narrow...
Following on from this jacket, as my dad made the original that Bowie wore, we're starting work on resurrecting his old label Ruskin. Aside from being featured in Vogue the label had quite the client list... Aside from David Bowie there was Syd Barrett, Anita Pallenberg, Marianne Faithfull, The...
We don't promote products or sales here on the Fedora Lounge as Thurston Brothers are already associate members, so out of respect to them, we don't. Wouldn't want to tread on their toes!
Ken doesn't tend to post on forums himself often, I think the only reason he still does occasionally on...
Aero did make the jacket in the film, well spotted! We've not seen this trailer yet.
It's a jerky horsehide modified Aero Bike jacket, with red cotton lining. It was a copy of an aged Bike jacket in a photo supplied by the production team, Jerky was chosen as they planned to age the jacket to...
“From a design standpoint, it doesn't really excite me. Aero have a number of half belt designs already, and while variety is the spice of life, this design doesn't really do anything that wasn't covered by the existing designs.”
We can’t really re-invent the 1930s, these suede jackets were...
If you decide to keep it email me on holly@aeroleatherclothing.com, I would say it's wearable after the zip fix - it looks as though only half the zipper needs changed which we could send you, if you wanted to get fixed locally. The lining is double thickness, it’s only the thinner covering...
Thanks for your email, and glad to be able to help move things along with this order. I think some technical glitches might have been part of whats gone wrong here, plus the fact that Murray isn't usually involved in customers orders - but as I explained in my email, not making excuses...
Who have you discussed this with? We do accept trade ins, but within reason - nothing too heavily modified. Can you email me about it please? holly@aeroleatherclothing.com
We've been trying to contact you by telephone regarding this, seems like there was an error on the listing with this and the pit to pit measurement was written down incorrectly. Dom has left you a voicemail explaining.
Sorry if anyone is waiting for a reply from me, I've been doing some work for the police/insurance company and am a little bit behind on enquiries as a result. Will hopefully get caught up today/tomorrow tho!
Thanks for your patience :)
We're spending a lot of time working on our new website right now, the photographs look incredible (as does the site, in my opinion). This is taking some time, so we're not sure when this will launch yet, but we think it'll (finally) do the jackets justice! :)
