This is in real great shape, it has been worn but the most minimal wear you could hope to see. Liner is perfect. $200 plus shipping.
No size tag, but measurements:
18” shoulders
20” pit to pit
25” sleeve
Yeah both the jackets I got are familiar styles/manufacturers to me but I’ve never found them in my size until now. Due to being tall I find that most jackets in my normal size of 42 from this era have shorter arms than I need.
That black windward is very cool. Mine is steerhide, not horsehide...
Added two jackets to my collection this week.
First, this Windward:
Great condition. Was dried out when I got it, and the leather was thirsty. I treated it with Obenaufs and it looks good now.
Also got this Monarch:
Leather’s good on this one, but needs to be treated. The cuffs and waistband...
So, I was messing around with shaping my new hat and settled on this crease. Large center dent but instead of moving the diamond shape towards the back like I normally would I opted for a more symmetrical one. So the profile is even and from the front it's a little more of a square look with...
There’s 2 things I wanted to try to match the hat better than my Campdraft:
1. No taper
2. Thinner dress weight felt
Doing those deep creases on something with too much of a taper or on too thick of felt just doesn’t work in my experience.
Thanks to the bad influence of this forum, I ordered a Gannon hat months ago. It came yesterday:
It's a dress weight Whiskey with a rust ribbon and binding.
I got it to put a crease in it similar to the Medford Man from Double Indemnity. Wish me luck.
My “walking to work in the snow” outfit.
Akubra Woomera, very vintage French Mackinaw, 60s Pendleton shirt, Bronson gold rush trousers, White’s Cutter Boots.
Was visiting some friends in Denver and briefly got to go vintage shopping. Found the oldest gabardine western jacket I've ever seen and it was in my size. Excellent shape and was sold cheap "as-is" because of some minor stains that I don't care about. Anyway, wearing this beauty today!

18” shoulder, 21” pit to pit, 26” sleeve. This is a Medium but fits like a slim Large. Read more about it on my eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265966715905?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UI3fDnWNR2m&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=UI3fDnWNR2m&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Couldn’t pass up this 40s/50s Royal Stratoliner even though it’s too small for me. As nice as felt gets in my experience. Found it in an antique store. Will make a nice gift for someone.
Alright, so I got this Open Road on eBay from our very own Brent (deadlyhandsome). I love the felt on it, if this was a Stetson it would have been way way more valuable, but since it's not branded he sold it for a great price. The question is, do I keep the cattleman's crease? I'm kinda thinking...
Holy moly, that's a nice combo, lopo!
I ordered these White's Boots Main Street Cap Toe Dec. 27th and they finally arrived last week. They look good with just about everything I own.
I picked up this Black Bear sports jacket in a beautiful shadow plaid recently. It's been a cold and grey May so I'm still able to wear it comfortably.
