Their older stuff was pretty tough and seemed to use a more coated style leather. Somewhere along the trail they decided to go with this softer naked cowhide. I know some people like the feel and weight of it, but even on my Schott 141 that type of leather just never looks black enough for me...
So did you return it for a different size, a different jacket altogether or simply a refund?
The arms seemed a little generous but other than that the cut seemed good and I liked most of the design elements. I wish they’d just had Schott make it and let the price fall where it may. Legendary’s...
Yeah I also have a 618hh. The horsehide is a little thinner but because it has the same style liner as the 613sh it’s not really a “lighter“ option at least in regards to regulating temperature. It’s down at Schott right now getting a new collar put on. I’ll probably end up selling it now that I...
For comparison purposes, here’s a few pics of the Beck Northeaster Flying Togs horsehide vest from Legendary. Like the Stallion, it simply has a made in USA tag attached to the main label. Not sure if both items are being produced at the same place. I checked all the pockets for clues and...
The leather on a few of my Fidelity jackets (particularly the black label era at the end of their run) was a little on the boring side, but these guys always seemed to really nail their liners. Comfortable and obviously durable as the Insides were nearly perfect on all four of these jackets.
Hard to beat the price point of the Fidelity jackets on the used market. Most seem to go in the $75-$140 range and they’re actually pretty decent jackets. I was on quite a cafe racer (I know some hate the term) hunt for awhile and had five or six come and go during the search. Kind of cool that...
After our wave of cancellations (and a few on a FB group) it seemed like it took Legendary a long time to get back to their magic number of 100 (if they ever actually did). They continue to advertise the Stallion as a limited edition where you can own a numbered jacket from a lot of 100. Who...
I bought a wrinkly old Schott 141 a year or so ago. I put it on a good hanger and brought it in the bathroom and hung it up while I was in there taking a shower. While it wasn’t a miracle cure, the steam and the heat definitely improved things. On one particularly bad spot, I put a nice smooth...
It‘s not that far off and I think it’s only going to look better as you break it in. Maybe keep the 44 as your cold weather jacket that you can fit some layers under, and then get a 42 (in horsehide perhaps) for t-shirt season. Multiple Perfectos is legal in most states.
Manolito, I too have recently joined the 613sh ranks. It’s been little on the warm side to get much wear in, but I have taken a couple of night rides on the bike to start the break in process. I too noticed the slightly longer front (as compared to my same size 618hh). It’s not crazy excessive...
Very nice! I just got a 613sh and am extremely happy with it. It‘s definitely a thicker and more robust hide than the one on my 618hh. Would you say the same is true compared to the 641hh?
I see what you mean about the belt buckle being kind of ready for action but not doing anything lol. The other day I had my jacket undone (worn properly) while I was gassing up my bike and seemed like I was having to worry too much about the buckle hitting the tank which brought me to the snap...
I tried to take advantage of the LegendaryUSA 25% off Fourth of July sale and ordered a Schott 641hh that I’d been wanting. Ended up coming out to around $750 which was a decent savings over the price on the Scott site ($935).
A day or two later I got an email from Ren at Legendary apologizing...
