Are you currently wearing something close to what you’re thinking about? If not, it might be a good idea to find a similar style jacket to make sure it looks good on you and more importantly…that you feel comfortable wearing it.
I remember as a young teenager getting the most unbelievably cool...
Yes for some reason that color combination is now only available in the waterproof models or maybe it’s the steel toe one. My tip as a current owner would be to consider them as a three season boot unless you’re strapping on some picks or chains.
I really like the black. Great choice! I’ve got a pair in dark brown (briar) with black soles that have held up pretty well. Midwest was good to deal with but get ready for some emails now that you’ve bought from them.
Loops like you nailed the size. I find with Schott stuff that the most important measurement is at the waist. If that works, the rest of the thing seems to fall into place.
Hard to say how your weight gain is going to be distributed. Maybe put on a couple of T-shirts and two sweatshirts and see how the jacket fits over that. I tend to like a trim, slightly snug fitting jacket so yours looks quite big to me. Good luck packing some pounds back on and I hope the...
I just got my 618hh back from the Schott repair department. They put a new collar on it for me and did an awesome job (may do a before and after post). It’s absolutely perfect now and Jerri was a huge help. I‘m hoping to one day make the trek down the factory or the store.
Despite waiting patiently all these years, I’ve not yet been present when a spontaneous pillow fight breaks out between two scantily clad women. I feel like time is running out.
I think you bought the right size. As you wear it, the jacket will find you and start to mold to your body. Right now, it’s kind of like a new baseball glove. You need to work it and tell it what you want it to do. Don’t be afraid to get it wet.
Size wise I think you nailed it. I also have a 141 (in size 42) but tend to wear it more casually than on the bike. I’m a Schott fan but think this model could be tweaked a bit to make it a better riding jacket. I’d take an inch off the body length and add one or two inches to the sleeves (more...
It would be interesting to know how many Schott jackets that LegendaryUSA is actually selling. They only carry a few brands with Schott being their sole “premium” offering. In the grand scheme of things, how important are they to Schott‘s overall business? I also wonder how this whole Stallion...
I’m a big fan of Schott and pretty much wear something made by them every day. I think there’s something interesting about a company that is both historically significant and still at it today under the same family ownership. I’ve often thought that if they’d gone out of business fifty or sixty...
I’m actually getting the original collar replaced. It‘s a black 618hh that I bought used. Everything was in really good condition except the collar which seemed quite thin and brittle. Not sure if it was just a bum piece of horsehide used on the collar or if the prior owner used some kind of...
