I sent an email expressing my concerns about the pictures which seemed to be marketing two different jackets as the Black Stallion. I told them that this was (at best) confusing and I was now uneasy about the purchase and requested a refund to spare us both the time and expense of a probable...
Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me but new Legendary home page picture appears to just be an enhanced version of the Hillside D-pocket jacket which sells for $641.
I have the Legendary BECK vest (and it’s awesome). For some reason I had Reed on the brain and mentioned that brand incorrectly (possibly adding confusion to the thread). i just looked in every pocket for any potential clues about the manufacturer but there was nothing more than the main...
So we’ve got what looks to be pictures of a Schott jacket, a Schott-like item number and the history of Schott producing THIS particular model for Legendary. If they have in fact switched suppliers, it seems as though they could end up in a bit of a mess for not advertising the actual product...
I’m wondering if the 689HH item number is just another leftover from the original Stallion advertisement (along with these pictures…albeit with a new label). As I mentioned, I saw a note from Jerri at Schott saying “we no longer make the Black Stallion for Legendary USA”. The supposed phone call...
Three things that have my mind at ease:
Money back guarantee on Legendary branded products.
The Legendary “Beck” horsehide vest was extremely well done.
Legendary isn’t going to hype a (currently) $928 dollar jacket on their front page and then deliver a sub par product that everyone returns.
I just had someone tell me that the Black Stallion is not being made by Schott this time around. He said he spoke to both Legendary and Schott and showed a note confirming this from Jerri at Schott. I haven't personally confirmed this information, but wanted to pass it along. This person has...
5’11 185 43” chest, wear 34 waist pants, pretty fit build for a 56 year old.
I have jackets that are both size 42 and 44, but have sold more 42’s that were too tight than 44‘s that were too big...
I’ll be riding in this jacket so if it’s going to miss by a little bit (size-wise), I’d rather...
Just got my confirmation email from Legendary. I’m number 15 of 100. Standing firm on my size 44 decision as I’ve been squeezed by the Schott 42 horsehide before.
This will be my first jacket with an exposed zipper that’s not silver. I’m kind of a one trick pony with the black leather, silver hardware thing. I’m not completely sure if I’ll be able to come to terms with the antique brass colored zippers or not but I’ve always wanted a Schott D pocket so...
I got 44 on the Schott size o meter using the choice of “slim“ which is what I ordered.
Some have suggested that this tool steers people to size up (in an effort to limit returns) but my experience (successes and failures) has found it to be spot on. Good call on using the 613S for reference...
I see the price has also increased to $918. I’ve got to think that back length is incorrect. The longest Schott motorcycle jacket that I’ve ever owned might have been 26 inches long and most were more like 24 or 25. If something truly is funky with the length, my fallback is to return it and get...
I’m assuming this is cut like a 6 series Schott (probably closest to a 618hh). Using the Schott size o meter (set to slim) it put me in a 44. It’s not foolproof but might at least be worth checking out.
My Schott 141 is a size 42 but it seems that series is actually a size larger than tagged...
I just had a quick catch and release on a size 42 Schott 641hh that was recent production. The horsehide was mind blowingly good which put me on a quest to find the same jacket in a 44. Of course the reintroduction of the Stallion has altered those plans just a bit but I couldn’t pass this one...
I have some experience with the Schott 641hh and I found Legendary’s measurements to be on the generous side in their description of that style. Schott also seems to try and move people up a size on their horsehide jackets so I ordered a 44 Stallion for my 43 inch chest. I used my last 15...
This is a great looking jacket, though I think I’d prefer the standard Schott sliver zippers over the antique brass. I’m having a little trouble with the size chart. A size 42 has a chest width of 24 and a 44 has a chest width of 25?? I’m thinking I’ll just nail the bottom hem and hope for the best.
One one side lace jacket that I had, I bought some black baseball glove rawhide that was a little different shape and stiffer than what was on there. I used a ball glove style knot and cut the ends short. Somehow it really changed the look from what I thought was kind of 80’s dated to a more...
We kind of went from jacket to vest weather in one day here in Maine Lol. I’m sure things will change back but it felt pretty good going for a ride with just a t-shirt and a vest.
