I don't have the machine to do it with, it took a special sewing machine to do that with, I think I saw in a photo that Optimo had one, when you ask them , be sure to ask if they use that old singer 46-101 that was used to that type of sweatband .

I have one of the spinners just like the one you have, I also have a very old Hatters Supply Catalog that shows it sold with the motor and base the spinner came on and was used in the hat shops, looks like a old time fan motor and base that the spinner...
The old ribbon on the hat would be rather hard, it will have to be cut off first and if you have never cut one off, then it's a real pain in the !!!!!! plus I have never had one that did not get a cut while taken off , your best bet is have a new ribbon put on, I am sure some of us hatters...
Wish I had several of these hat blocks, those SASS shooters are dying for some of these styles, I made two like this from some home made blocks, loked ok, but would love to find some of the real deals.

The hat has a telescoping crown about 4 1/2" tall maybe a little taller, and a short brim, some where around 3 1/2"this hat was very comman in movies in the 50's and 60's. Little Joe wore one alot like this hat also.
