Mens trousers were worn at the natural waist, not the hips. I like actually prefer this than pants at the hip. The way suits are tailored now you can see shirt material winking out from under a buttoned jacket. It never looks right
They specifically mention letting out jackets on there site. Here is the alterations pricing page.

They add wedges under the arm and near as I can gather redo or replace the waist panels.
And here is a video where they add a stretch...
Here are the two no longer made, I'm sure you all know the Highwayman, it's the rayon lined model, not the insulated one. I can dig it out of the closet if you'd like to see it.
The Avenger is the sport rider with the drop down panels in the front. It was made before the adjustable cobra waist...

Wait wait wait... You're missing a key opportunity here. You need to get into wool coats! There's a couple Filsons, a couple '60s peacoats, 40s and 50s army trenches, three pelerines, woolrich hunters... I dig my leather on the bike but nothing beats wool for daily wearability!
Ditch the...
I bought my first Vanson, a Vanson Sattelite in glow in the dark "Solar" leather way back in my 20s. I still have it, but now that I'm a dad in my mid forties that size 40 Sattelite is a good two sizes too small. I can JUUST squeeze into a 44 now, and likely I'm a Vanson 46 at this point. OUCH...
I think it's a weird hybrid between a Perfecto and a Swiss dispatch coat...
The mouton collar should line the inside of the existing collar, not be a snap on extension.

It is, I really like the button version because the old swedish jackets were button up. It's also a better fitting size than the one that I currently have. If I end up with this one, I'd be pretty tempted to put my tobacco varient up for sale.
I found a vintage barbour A7 in what looks to be really good shape. So after all that I went with an old Barbour. I'm stoked to find one without wear or stains! It's been worn and used, but not abused.
So... I actually bought the last Swedish model that was on Ebay a couple weeks ago, in the tobacco leather. I'd been wanting a swedish model for literally years. I couldn't resist that leather...
I'm still in the market for competition leather Swedish jacket when the right one comes along!
And...
Just speculating here, but I'd guess they set up to make a run a particular jacket and then switch gears to make make a bunch of the the next model. If that's the case, when a custom size comes in, they'd probably get around to it when they would be scheduled to make the next run of that...
I was looking through the 2000 catalog and it's a real shame how much they've had cut back variety.
A LOT of cool out of production coats in there!
They must still have all the patterns. I wonder how much it would cost for them to do a run...
Just spitballing an idea, but if there were...
Vanson makes jackets built on several chassis which have different pockets and straps attached as needed for the specific models. This looks built up on the Star jacket chassis, the top half of the the flat track suit. Looking at the football elbows and shoulder reinforcements would seem to back...
