I also dabble the vintage bicycle collecting world, and we have a scientifically derived formula for determining the correct number of old bicycles to own.
N=N+1
Where N represents the number of currently owned bicycles while N+1 represents the “appropriate” number to own.
So once you...
O
I threw a half hearted 175.00 at it, sniper style... Someone likely had a high bid of 200.00 or 250.00. they got a great jacket for an even better price.
I guess it wasn't my day to stray from Vanson...
My thriftyness got cranked up to 11 after Mrs. VansonRider and I added Jr. V.R. to the...
I just noticed it's a 44L, the torso is longer than my Vanson Highwayman, (if we can trust the measurements). I already think my highwayman is a smidge longer than ideal for me. I'm only 5'10" but I have slighly longer legs/shorter back than average.
I think this is a taller mans Cal.
At...
I try keep in mind it’s as likely to be a character as anything else. These are all performances and while this could be her genuine personality, it’s likely to at least be exaggerated. A lot of views can be had …even if they are all from people telling you how wrong you are.
Oh, I think we're all just good naturedly poking fun at some "fashion influencers". I hope no one's getting angry for really real, but I don't think anyone is.
I really enjoy the Gentlemens Gazette, in fact. And I disagree with some of what they say, too. But they're putting out more of a...
It's the "foux-ness" that bothers me so much.
I'm convinced the top stitching on the shoulders doesn't even go through both layers of leather. It looks like they cross stitched a big piece of leather, cut pieces out, and boarder stitched them on.
The zips don't cinch down the wrists at all...
I love these jackets, just as classic as a cross zip but from the sporting side of the railroad tracks. The ribbing on the back is a stretch panel, and it lets you tuck when your in the full suit.
I think what happened with these, is that riders would just use the jacket half of the suit...
Oh that is COOL!
You may already know this, but shoulder insignias are three tuning forks laid on top of each other and are the logo for Yamaha, which makes musical instruments as well as motorcycles.
Shoulder rotation on the jacket will also change things up. If the shoulders are positioned forward then there will be more material in the back, and versa vise.
And then taper, a stronger taper to the waist could prevent the jacket from hanging over your hips, that would make the jacket look...
I give Vanson branding a pass, too. The shoulder ovals come straight out of their track suits and on to their sport rider jackets, that's not an issue for me. I really like the black on black ovals on this one!
The V on the snaps, that distinctive shape was used on their earlier branding and it...
I was going to say the same about trouser rise. Current trends in the rise of jeans are what make the jacket look short, not the jacket length. I like shorter jackets, too. But I have longer legs and a shorter torso than most guys my height. In bicycle fitting terms I'm a "shortback" I have a...
