    Maltese Falcon Crease

Looks great! My Fed IVs all have diamonds in them. I think it suits their overall shape very well.

    I love the Fed IV!!

^Same experience here. My brown Fed IV's brim is the perfect width, while my carbon gray seems a little wide. This probably due to the brown one being 2 3/8" on the side while the CG is 2 1/2". Yes, the 1/8" makes a noticeable difference.

When did the tacky practice of wearing brown shoes with blue suits become accepted?

If God had intended for us to be submerged at all, He wouldn't have invented showers. ;)

When did the tacky practice of wearing brown shoes with blue suits become accepted?

Great write-up, Edward. More info here than in the entire thread. ;) It is my belief that suits will never make a comeback in great numbers simply because most people, aka society-in-general, prefer cheap, easy and comfortable. Good suits are comfortable, but are not cheap, and take most men...

setting a hat down: brim up or brim down?

Here is an option that will cost only a coupla bucks and some of your time. You'll need oak tag, a pencil, a ruler, a scissors, a straight edge, a stapler, and some of your time. Make it tall enough so the top of the hat doesn't touch the surface the holder is resting on, and just wide enough...

Your creases are very organic-looking; one of my favorite features of your hats.

Your bashes/creases are so distinctive, I couldn't imagine ordering an open-crown hat from you.

    Indiana Jones V

Yes, this photo has appeared many times in IJ discussion forums, and the general consensus (in many IJ discussion forums) is that Prat could absolutely no way play Indiana Jones. Of course, many of the fanatics don't think anyone should play IJ after Ford because, after all, Harrison Ford is...

I think it's a two-pronged sword (excuse the mixed metaphor). In addition to the additional cost, most (not all) men these who wear hats wear them with more casual attire. No brim trim is more casual, not to mention 'rugged' (grrr) than brim trim.

Thank you so much. I will use the mink oil and see how it goes.

    leather jacket treatment question

The Kiwi Mink Oil (lower left) says silicone. Is this okay? Which is better, shoe polish or mink oil, are they both okay?

    leather jacket treatment question

It's not a real high quality leather. I would never post it here. Not brand new but certainly not old, but a little stiff. I just want to soften it up a bit.

What about some clear shoe polish (which I also already have)? It's made for leather shoes.
