    Lamson & Hubbard Hat Co

I was going to post mine, but it is this very hat.

Akubra Heritage Fawn vs Tawny Fawn

More of a generic crease, but okay. Yes, use steam or water. The creases will be easier to sharpen up a bit, and will stay put with some moisture.

Brim Trim - Will 1/8" Make a Noticeable Difference?

It sounds like the OP has one hat that he wants to be perfect. Not realistic, imho (although I do have one like that, but it's a custom). I have a number of hats with identical brim widths, but don't look the same on me because the crowns differ, even if oh so slightly. So, my solution for...

Brim Trim - Will 1/8" Make a Noticeable Difference?

Although this thread has taken a turn toward the humorous (as it should by now), get a sharp scissor and give it a go. I have trimmed a few raw-edges in my time and you can't tell that anything was done. I've had hats where the width of the brim (in proportion to the crown height/shape)...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Thank you. Most of my hats either have, or are given by me, a diamond crease and a fairly narrow front pinch. Of course, some hats are denser/lighter/thicker/thinner than others, but they all eventually succumb to the shape I want. The older ones do achieve the look better than most of the...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

    No, sorry, I don't.

Akubra Heritage Fawn vs Tawny Fawn

What I was getting at is that quite often my hats appear to be different colors, or different shades of the same color, when photographed and viewed on screen, regardless of lighting conditions. That is why I believe that a good studio photographer, with a good camera, can accurately represent...

Akubra Heritage Fawn vs Tawny Fawn

And, for what it's worth, my Tawny, next to the image on the screen, is very different.

    Terms Which Have Disappeared

Or it could be 'something to wrestle with,' as in, 'I had to wrestle with my intake manifold preheater tube so as to clear it of carbon buildup.' :D

Both of them are like melted buddah!

Akubra Heritage Fawn vs Tawny Fawn

If you have not had a standard Fed IV on your head, I can reassure you that the sweat is extraordinarily comfortable, as in all-day-wearable, as I do at work all day every day, so if you like the Tawny better, the sweat shouldn't hold you back.

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

    It was probably Huggy Bear.

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

That gives me an idea to wear my black Adam and a red scarfy-type face mask to see if anyone but anyone calls me The Shadow, although I highly doubt it nowadays. 'Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows.'

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

More like sitting the other way in the saddle, so to speak.

    Movie hats

Certain parts pf the photo are light purple (lavender?) while the rest of it is B&W. Probably someone fooling around with pshop.

    I love the Fed IV!!

I like a nice beater, too, but in my case it usually ends with the hole in the pinch. A little dirty and a little misshapen is fine and dandy for me. :)

    I love the Fed IV!!

I turned my brown Fed IV today. Not because I am fan of the turn, in particular, but because a hole is beginning to form at the top of the front crease. Does the hat look different? Most likely not to the casual observer, but there is a now a very slight unevenness in the way it sits on my...

    Indiana Jones V

What ya do, ya see, is have Pratt do the action, and then layer Ford's de-aged face on top of it. Scary.

    Akubra vs Jacaru hat

Yes, the harmful stuff is the concern. I had just never thought of a thicker felt being better at doing the job, just making me hotter.
