What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Who doesn't need M&Ms? RJR, you're getting the blizzard we had yesterday. It's a doozy. Be careful. Still some residual snow and 14 degrees this morning. I'm wearing the Stetsonian. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Post New Hats Here!

Thanks, guys. I've long been reading the rest of you talk about the Fed IV. Now I can say I agree with the chorus. It really is a quality hat -- a great style, great construction and a fantastic price. I heartily recommend it.

    More Akubra advice please

The CD is a good old-fashioned hat. It's versatile. It can be bashed different ways to give it completely different looks. Yes, it has straight sides. And right now, with the Australian dollar weak against the U.S. dollar, may be the cheapest time to buy. Go for it.

    Post New Hats Here!

I finally joined the Fed IV club today when the mail came. Stuck a quick diamond bash in it. It's an Imperial model, but the felt is fairly soft - softer than my CD - and is a joy to shape. I really like this hat. At these prices, I may get more soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with Anthony. Far left looks best, but far right ain't bad, either.

Many times, Inge. My wife is Swedish and has many relatives there. We visit every couple of years, then drive over to Norway and see my cousins in Drammen.

How To Pull Off A Fedora/Trilby Dress Hat

Thanks. I think, as has been stated elsewhere on the Lounge, that Akubra felt tends to vary somewhat. I hope your hat comes to you as soft as mine. The wind trolley is a matter of taste. I have some hats with trolleys, but I've never actually used one.

How To Pull Off A Fedora/Trilby Dress Hat

Here's a recent shot of me wearing the Akubra Sydney, or "Fedora." I think a 2 1/2-inch brim looks good on just about anyone.

How To Pull Off A Fedora/Trilby Dress Hat

I have the U.S. market version of that hat, called the Sydney. I love it. The felt on that hat is as soft as on any hat I've worn. It looks nice, too. You're smart to order it from Australia, where the price is far less than at the U.S. distributor, David Morgan. I bought it because I was in the...
