I don't notice them when I wear them. But I had them for the last 3 years:D. I find that my Redwing iron rangers are more comfortable and seem to break in faster than the Beckmans.
After about 10 weeks of waiting (7 weeks to have the jacket made and 2-3 weeks waiting for Canada Post Strike Threats to subside), I finally received my Aero Seven Jacket in Russet Vicenza.
All I can say is WOW! It feels great, smells great and I feel the fit is spot on! I believe Carrie at TB...
Got my Aero D1 jacket today from Thurston Bros. It was the size 38 Seal with Russet Vicenza trim featured on their stock page. The measurements looked like it a good fit for me. I was debating on getting another B3 (I have an Eastman Redskin B3 size 44 - too big or me now :( ) or an Anj 4...
:D:D:D
Thanks Carrie:D
The jacket looks awesome. And the russet hide is gorgeous. Also the nickel hardware has nice contrast without it being too bright. Great suggestion over the vintage brass I was initially thinking about!
I know who's jacket this is ;)!!
I can't wait to get this!! I hope the whole Canada Post strike threat happening right now doesn't push through so I can get this shipped to me ASAP:(
Carrie, do you have a shot of the underarm shields as well?
RG
That buffalo hide looks so nice and the contrast stitching just pops! Is the hide as thick and supple as the Italian horsehide model? If I didn't have a custom Aero seven ordered already (part of the July allotment batch) I would have seriously considered another Thedi in the espresso!
Hopefully...
Mike D,
I have a quick question... When looking at the BR fit jacket and the final seven jacket, the zipper length seems shorter in the fit jacket compared to the final jacket. In the fit jacket, the main zipper ends at or near the top of your belt buckle. In the final jacket, the zipper seems...
Gave final approval of the order this weekend on Canada Day
Aero Seven in Russet Vicenza with OD stitching
4 pocket config with ring pulls on zips
All nickel hardware (nickel would add more contrast than the initial vintage brass I was planning on getting)
OD cotton drill lining in the body...
I just got recommendations from Carrie regarding body and sleeve lengths. She stated that shortening the body and the use of Vicenza, the back should drape better and would not have that bulge. The fit jacket is heavy steer thus the stiff drape and bulge. She suggested 1-1.5 inches shortening of...
Thanks for all the recommendations :)
I'm planning on getting an Aero Seven in Russet Vicenza with OD green stitching, 4 pocket config all zipped, buco j100 back - maybe make it a one piece back rather than the two piece back. All antique brass hardware. I'm just putting a plain cotton drill...
Here are some fit photos of the fit jacket I received from Carrie at TB.
It is an Aero Board Racer size 40 in brown CXL steer hide:
Back: 25.75inches
Front: 21.75 inches
Arms: 26.25 inches
P2P: 21.75 inches
I'm 5'6.5" in height and weigh 156lbs.
The steer hide is very substantial with deep...
Hello,
I just received the fit jacket for my Aero Seven order (pics to follow in another thread :) ) from TB. I paid about $130 for duty, GST and handing fees for it. I'm returning the fit jacket and plan to order a custom Aero seven. Once I receive the custom jacket, am I going to get charged...
I agree it is really an attractive looking jacket. However, I already paid for my fit jacket through Thurston Bros. No refunds allowed once the custom process has started so I'm committed to Aero right now. Thank you for all your responses.
How did you find the handwarmer pockets? Did they feel bulky? I'm leaning toward the 4 pocket config for balance and I plan to have the handwarmer zip pulls close toward the hem. If you don't mind, what were the other reasons you didn't like the jacket? Since I own and really like my Thedi...
