I acquired a new hat off poshmark for a great price and in amazing condition. It actually might be the best hat I own in terms of fit. It certainly feels the most comfortable on my head, more than my others. I'm really happy with it and I believe it's from the 1950's era.

I think once I put the sizers in the sweatband it makes all the difference. Also, I handbashed the crown into a porkpie shape and that really helped alot too.
The problem is 7 1/4 is too small for my head.
7 3/8 leaves some space, yes, but is that necessarily a bad thing? The crown does not bottom out on my dome.

I dont believe it says that , i'll check when I get home but I brought it Borsalino on Avenue J in Brooklyn and they were going crazy over it. They dated it 1958 and said its Beaver.
