    Thank you, yes that would have been a much better way of asking for info. The specs of the JJ hats claimed they sent is not the same as the hats I had nor is the model the same. Thank you to everyone who has helped during this entire thing. It seems everyone is getting it but the person asking.

    Since Borsalino is out of business I don’t think you will find exactly that unless like suggested you start searching places like eBay. I’m not sure how much stock you can put into JJ hats as they got the model wrong.

    Look at the ribbons on both sets of pics. Do you not see the difference? If JJhats told you it was anello model they are clearly wrong.

    it can mean both as it means hair. thats what the body of the hat is made up of, Matted hair ( felt). He wore beaver as I had those hats in my hands. They were beaver and he only wanted beaver. He is way to particular about the finish to wear rabbit.

    Fur felt is beaver felt. He had an issue with the beaver felt and the finish of that beaver felt. If he didn't he would have gone back to them.

    you are correct, He really didn't like the modern Borsalinos. I had to have special felt made as well. He likes thin and pliable like the old Borsalinos. He's my kinda hat guy.
