Those would be a more appropriate choice for a medium brown leather like how you want yours to look. Hope Damon gives you a good headache with the leather choices. The Vermont is also a good option but it should probably too dark for your needs. Good luck with that @Liam33
The looper ball pull on my Mulholland is torn so I need to replace it with something like this

Looks pretty straight forward buy Just don't know how to set the lock
It's repels a little water so it does better than a full aniline leather but yes I agree there's better more hard wearing jackets out there for inclement weathers for riding mainly chrome tanned jackets.
We need more threads like this for minor DIY repairs. Thanks for posting this
what if only the pull is the one that needing replacing? Just use pliers to remove the old pull and place the new one?
Looks great in the photo and even better in real life. That hide seems like it will show nice wear and I'm guessing it should darken over time some too. Pls do post f/u pic when you can.
The Seal Vermont is a good option for a dark brown jacket and it is similar in how cxl burgundy/cordovan is...
Welcome @Liam33 and advanced congratulations on your first leather jacket and a bespoke one at that.
Shoot I was just at JL today and had not read that you wanted a photo of a made jacket with that brown German horsehide. My apologies but I believe @technovox may have a sample of that brown...
Perfect call on the hardware choice, it really pops and in a good way too.
I do wear my JL shirt as well but it's a too tight so I relegate it for home use only lol
My jackets are so new (the oldest is about 13 months) that I never have to deal with something like this
Can't wait to see what pattern you ended up choosing and the leather to be used. Yep, looks like the sleeves could do with added length to account for shrinkage especially if the leather...
Man that looks so good on you. Congrats on getting this and thanks for letting me have the brown one. This fit looks so perfect here and looks like it has been well loved and those browns showing thru looks fantastic.
That's sucks about the zippers on both jackets. Will you replace it with a...
The JH1 belt looks cool indeed. I have that similar design to my Vanek jacket but it's awkward. Not sure if the jacket was made for a lefty but the pull is on the left side. It's hard to align the pin with pull
That's also one way of doing it, this seems very secure
It's so nice having the snap by the zipper stop, mrfrown/red devil recent JL cross zip have them and it's a cool detail as well as functional. I will definitely copy that when I get my LAPD made lol I haven't seen a Cal with a through belt so I can't imagine how it would look but I think it...
That's very rider friendly especially when off the bike and it's hot as balls out there. I haven't noticed that before, is that how Vansons/Langlitz/Schott are designed?
I can certainly imagine the buckle can get annoying to have when unbuckled and is not secured. Or when the belt is so brand...
Both look appealing in my eyes whether attached or detachable and have noticed some belts/epaulletes/loops get sheared off as well. I prefer to have a detachable belt so it's easier to live with and wear on a day to day basis
I find it cool when people wear the belted jackets open with the...
The leather looks exceptional here and I find the cafe collar design here really beautiful. Too small in the chest even for me, too bad I missed out on that D pocket you sold a couple of months ago. Good luck with sale good sir
