In my experience, buying another jacket to distract you from your dream jacket never works, you just end up with two jackets that way.
Over time I have learned that the quest for a jacket is usually more fun than actually owning the jacket, therefore be as patient as you can and enjoy the hunt.
Yes as a matter of fact, I have!
Recently I have been sorely tempted by a RMC L2B. Now this in itself is not surprising, I am always tempted by some jacket or another. What was surprising to me was the fact that I actually sat down and thought about how I already have several jackets nylon...
I’m going to suggest that you do not want to tell Stuart that he is using the wrong thread when he makes his heavy HH jackets. The man is not particularly good with taking even small criticism and this seems like a fundamental attack on his entire process.
I agree with you that his stock zippers...
Always good to remember this. I like to laugh at other people, but I’m also ready to laugh at myself.
I don’t know man, it’s been a while but I have been known to go “full lumberjack” from time to time.
Interesting, my conscience usually forces me to buy the most expensive and least practical option…
Fortunately, for you, there are a number of wise members here from all over Europe, who should be able to point you in the right direction.

On another note, you mention resale value and I have...
My thoughts exactly and you express them so simply and perfectly! On a jacket where the shoulders extend into the upper sleeve opening, you can obviously go with a tighter measurement seam to seam.
I understand what @Monitor is saying and I agree that shoulder measurement is not necessarily as...
Why are you selling the jacket for 1k when it is still available from the HD Museum for $895 with free shipping?

I’m probably pretty close then with my size 46 then. I remember being surprised that it didn’t weigh more actually, because it feels like a suit of armor.
Mine came with a #10 NOS Talon that failed after about a year. I had JL replace it with a #10 YKK and it has been trouble free.
I agree on the sizing. I’m 6’1” and weigh around 210 pounds. Stu asked my height and weight and recommended a size 46. I had him add sleeve and back length and make...
