Yes! I don't apply very often, but when I do, I like the result. As @Al 916 says, Pecard vanishes when soaks in the leather. I apply it in circular movements, and not too much product.
I ordered Pecard when I visited New York. It was $18, the shipping from factory to hotel, $12. Pecard was one of those things I wanted to buy there in order to avoid the expensive sending and taxes to Spain.
This is a peculiar question: does anyone know if these type of jackets, which were very common during 80s until mid-90s, had a "style name"?
I amazed by the variation of them, all with these ridged bands and cuffs. Why all were oversize? I think these were particularly common here in Europe. I...
Excellent jacket. Own one that I was about to sell, but then I saw this video and changed my mind: How L.L. Bean Made the Best Leather Bomber Jacket...Ever
Although I will not put it into practice, I sometimes think about this same issue: be more selective with my purchases, or with the jackets I have. My collection isn't very varied, I have x-zips Cals and Als, except for a couple of aviators and one Schott 613. If I come across one at a good...
My padded Cal, I guess....
But maybe I'd rather be jailed than donate them. How much time behind bars are we talking about? Can I negotiate for just a fine?
Thank you! The lining is thick as generally found in Al's. All zippers are YKK, but the pull tab was replaced by a Talon one at some point. There's no handwritten size in the inner pocket canvas. But what are your thoughts? Really intrigued.
That's a really heavyweight jacket, but leather is...
Thank you all! It's a kind of 42ish, feel nice on shoulders but a bit roomy on chest when it's zipped. Perfect of layering.
I won't do nothing with pin-holes and marks, as Will says, they are part of the jacket story, but I'm worried about that spike 'cause it pokes the leather when lapels are...
My padded Al's has lodged the spike of a former pin badge in the lapel. The jacket came to me like that, in the auction it was already without ornaments, but this spike bothers me a lot, especially when I wear the neck up, 'cause if I'm not careful, I prick myself with it. Since almost the first...
Indeed. I don't remember if he was a TFL member, but he had cool jackets. Got in touch with him 4-5 years ago, but unfortunately he is no longer with us... A very kind man.
Great story! It's such of a pleasure when it happens. I had the same chance here in Barcelona, with a passionate collector, but the visit never took place, sadly. He had lots of jackets from makers well-known by all of us.
