I like Jim Hoag's version of the 1911 long slide. But he also did long slide HPs as well. Jim built them from the mid '70s up until he retired in 2017. James Caan used two of Hoag's Master Grade 1911s in the classic movie, "Thief" in 1980. One of them a 6" long slide. But Hoag would...
Just for fun. Suppose to be 100f+ here today. And no rain since May. A typical summer for us. And the difference here of having and not having water.
Obligatory Sunbody content :) Amazing to me that all life on Earth is dependent on the top 3 feet of dirt and rain.
Love this...
I typically special order my Sunbody hats. Bigger brims and crowns at what ever height I am looking for. And I have soaked a bunch of them and punched out the crown to a taller, open crown. I have a 7 1/2, long oval head. Long, long oval. Typically, I'll wear any hat pretty tightly...
My apologies to both of you. I was obviously very confused. It happens :) I worked out of Chamonix half the year for many seasons. But never in Sunbody! My absolute favorite part of the world.
So you don't live in in the Hartford CN area these days, as you previously posted. Curious as to the area you do live?
Just wondering as 3 weeks ago you had written. "Here at altitude the sun is intense but the air is extremely dry. I live in New England, not Texas......"
That was quick...
Glad you found a Sunbody useful.
I was going to make this comment earlier but decided to pass @ the time.
>Here at altitude the sun is intense but the air is extremely dry. I live in New England, not Texas...
Highest thing in New England is Mt Washington at just over 6000. NE as a whole...
So far so good. Thanks for asking. Bumpy rides are expected with young horses.
But it is the end result I am looking for :) No matter how long it takes. So far 6 for 6.
Same critter a year later. Wonderful horse today.
The last airtime I got was from a lot bigger horse and a lot...
Since I posted this, I ordered a new Sunbody a full size larger. Could have gone two sizes! But no recent hair cuts :) No question the hat is cooler to wear oversized.
I do a lot more work on the ground than I do in the air, so I can make the time to put on a tighter hat when needed. Fun...
Some of the neatest watches these days are not mechanical. Love the self winders but the newer movements are worthy of soem seroious porn as well. I'll start a thread on "tool" watches. That should cover all the military watches new and old ;)
Homage to a 5513. Looks like they are doing nice work. I have one on the way. Price seems silly. But a buddy who knows watches swears they are legit and a very nice watch for the $. Way more watch that first might appear.
