You might want to think about tumbled hh, though I think anything above a mid weight leather would really suit this design. Goat would be hard wearing and tough alternative.- Sloan1874

Yes, I tried it on and I really liked it. I didn't see the Indian Ranger, but things were pretty frantic and jackets were being moved around a lot, so I'm not surprised. You scored a winner with the Daytona, though.- Sloan1874

I think people have to calibrate expectations to stuff going for roughly cost price. If you consider that the stock going for sale is either new or nearly new, buying one and getting decades of wear at a deep discount represents a serious bargain.
