Wow I just found this thread and it is amazing.
I want to send a special thank you to all the members who shared their collection, it is a very special thing to do collecting all of these jackets so that future generations can and will see and enjoy them.

Beautiful texture on that leather. I love a scotch grain look on boots for some reason.
My left had had to stop the right hand from reaching for the credit card when those pebble grain Himel/Viberg boots came out recently.

The people of Japan and I think Taiwan and Singapore definitely have there fair share of vintage American clothing.

How do your pigment Shinki jackets compare?
Have you had any combination tanned jackets in your collection?
I would imagine they would repel water until the finish wears off then at that point stains won’t matter and it is more of a beater type jacket.
This would be a great addition to his permanent line up, amazing what you two came up with together.
The details are amazing, I can’t believe how close the stitching comes to the edges in some areas, so close that he is risking going over.
I’m not condoning these scars, completely opposite as I’d like to see them perfectly made. If Shinki is getting scarce then why not have a selection of quality Steerhide jackets which have proven to last throughout the years.
This is just a thought but imagine if these horsehide jackets...
Maybe that other thread where Freewheelers has canceled delivery of some of their jacket reservations due to poor quality Shinki has something to do with unexpected flaws in jackets.
