That's a good point. The disheveled, slightly grubby look really makes it pop I guess it looks less like a pristine costume. I wonder what the lighter pants are, you see them all the time do you think they are wool flannel or cotton drill pants in a bone colour?- Seb Lucas

Interesting. I'm six two, I tend to wear a back length that is 26.5 inches, which is only an inch longer than yours at five ten. This falls just over the back pockets of my mid rise jeans. I wouldn't want anything shorter than this.- Seb Lucas

It is personal preference. Good point. To me the period photos always make the jackets look longer. Must be the high rise pants. Notice too the back length of jackets is marked as 25.5 inches. Five Star Leather Jackets
Not sure I would ever buy a deer jacket but the hide, even if it is corrected, looks good to me. My issue with 5 Stars goat hide is that it feels kind of dry and fragile compared to the many goat jackets I have owned by other makers. I guess only a few years will tell.- Seb Lucas
