It’s another 3X OR for me today but the hat on display is Henry Wyatt’s first wide brim! He’s going brim up like his old man.
Have a great Saturday folks!
Wearing a 3X OR today of Canadian manufacture. This is the softest most pliable Stetson 3X that I own so it stays open crown and gets dry creased with each wear.
Have a great day folks!
I only have one Agnoulita and chose a black sweatband. It’s comfortable and it seems of good quality but it does look cheap to me. Not sure about the other colours.
I believe I read that the Lot #'s stopped in the 40's - was it the end of the 40's? or the beginning of the 40's? I think @alanfgag was leading the charge on the Lot # thread.
Thanks Bowen, appreciate the kind words especially from someone with such a fine collection. It sure has been a lot of fun learning, being a part of this community and collecting these antiquated pieces we wear on our heads.
Wearing my favourite hat today. Stetson No 1 Quality - very thin lightweight felt. I recently discovered this one might be as early as the 1930’s
Have a great day everyone.
Thanks Randall, you inspired me to take the custom ribbon plunge. This was my first campaign bow ( after a few attempts )
Thanks Perry!
Thank you kindly Bob, I can’t get enough of this style!
The beautiful thing is you can just grow it back! I think it’s my danish descent mine grows in...
Great hats everyone. I wish I had the time to comment individually.
It’s a 1960’s Resistol today. This hat was a light conversion and started as a rancher. Rebashed, flattened and curled the brim and added the campaign bow to give it that pre 40’s western style. Hope everyone is doing well.
Thanks for checking Bob, hope it wasn't too much trouble. Sorry I forgot to post in here that she really liked the 3X that garret posted so I grabbed it for her yesterday evening.

This one might be pointless to post but I felt it couldn't hurt - I don't have photoshop or any software to try and enhance the numbers but maybe some keen eyes can make out more than I can. There was another number stamped on the hat I originally thought to be the...
I believe I have at least one but possibly a few hats that I will be documenting in this most wonderful thread. I did have a few questions before I do.
I know I have seen it but I can't for the life of me find it now - what is the thought on the dating caveat for natural reeds in sweatbands if...
The Spanish trail could work. Can you let me know the brim width and front to front back to back sweatband dimensions?
She said ‘more cowboy, less fedora’ when I showed her a picture of an OR. I love this gal
