For practicality the worst offender is the B3. The B3 is fine as a warm practical replica of a historical item and looks great. The pocket is almost useless and non secure, the ANJ4's are slightly more useful but only really good for storing keys or a small thin phone or wallet.
With either the...
That really looks great, the fit is spot on. Different lengths can look right or wrong on different people in photo's, I think any longer will look wron on you whereas Davs looks perfect on him.
"the wearer is standing still arms outstretched posing for lack of a better term" I believe this...
I would say not Aero due to the cuff depth. It was the first thing I noticed so must be different. I could not see Aero making the cuffs that deep.
Nice colour and a great buy. If you got it really cheap I would consider trading as from the back it looks too big, but the look can depend on how...
As others have said the arms are meant to be big due to the layering of a uniform underneath.
Personally I would not put a rank badge on those flaps, I just sewed them down. Cut them off but if you decide to sell it later it ma be a buyer bargaining point you may not be happy with -$$$£££€€€...
HI Art, that photo was taken probably when the jacket was fairly new around 15 years ago(it's a 42'). Today it looks a little different but only as in wear.
Most or the points where the jacket rubs have now worn through to the actual hide, thats not drastic though as it now looks a little more...
My dad was an old time hat wearer and still wearing it when he went out until his death. He died in the 1970s and I started to wear his, a wide brim 1940s Attaboy that he always referred to as a Trilby.
Ahaa! Thats American English Vs British English Van :)
Just RWT, Rain water treatment.
If I get caught out without a Brolly. If I get caught out without an Umbrella. A bit of English Slang, the Scottish contingent may have other words;).
There is of course a song about it, all the joys of...
I must be the weird one here, I just wear mine and they soon develop the 'look'. A months regular wearing will come out something like this: Just RWT if I get caught out without a brolly. I don't have a thing about new jackets as I'm the one wearing it, not the passer by who admires or does not...
It must be happening all over. Over here(England and the Isle's) it is mainly 'outdoor' types of hat, that is not quite a trilby/fedora but not quite a full on bush hat. wide brim, pinch at front, usually unlined wool such as the Stetson Rantoul Traveller...
A great hairdo, I always loved 60s style beehives as some called them, others may have called this style the Cottage Loaf. I do remember this style having a little resurgence in the early 1970s RnR scene.
Thanks everyone :) I bought this hat especially for this trip over Christmas 2017.
Another member has posted a kind of database for Peschel hats where more photo's of this one and many others are stored. Sorry I cannot remember the topic name at the moment.

Visiting Germany and the Cuckoo clock capital Treberg in the Black Forest, Mrs T wandered into the so called 'House of a thousand Clocks' . After looking at several wonderful clocks I wandered over to where some of the usual souvenirs were on show. I looked and looked for something when I...
Though I have always loved the look of pre Evo's such as from the Knuckleheads onwards, I have never liked the full dressers. Sportsters are neat and this one looks great.
What is the significance of the '5' on the engine case?
I went around the Nurburgring in my Peugeot 406 HDI Estate(and have photo's to prove), nothing spectacular in that, but I put the sticker on with a little self pride and gratification knowing I actually got around without crashing. A German friend assured me that the majority of cars in the...
