What complicates further is that even if a maker has the holy grail A-2 pattern, there's a whole lot of human error that can throw things off. That's why I feel like off the rack A2's are a bit safer. At least you can try it on as opposed to a custom job you're stuck with.
Since when did this happen?! These are BOSS. I take back everything I ever said about the Aero fit.
But in all seriousness, I really wish Japanese makers would offer better linings. All the Aero's I've gone through over the years have had gorgeous wool tartan linings. And high quality...
Agreed. Hwyman is just a boxy pattern. If you size down to make it "look cool," then your comfort suffers and you can barely stretch your arms. At least you got the goat skin which is more forgiving. Highwayman is one where you basically set your priorities of fit vs fashion and then pick...
I think this touches on a key point-- all the A-2's fit differently, even if they have the same labelled size.

Years ago, I believe there was a dust up at aero when some HH CXL Jackets were actually made with steerhide and/or a combo of both. I believe apologies were made...
I had same issue with my Aero jackets. I enjoyed taking it off more than putting it on.
Ditto how, Aero jackets seem to press down on the back neck/collar area. I used to think this only affected guys who were broad shouldered and thick necked-- but @borisna doesnt seem to have an issue...
This makes me sad, as I'm a fan of shawl collars. And this one, if it is the same, is beautiful. So then... the original shawl collar was altered into another shawl collar?
SOLD. Just some thoughts for the lounge... selling price was on eBay for $949. I entertained similar offers in the $900's on eBay as well . My takeaway for FL buyers (which includes myself)-- the prices on the classified section are mostly really good! I think we pride ourselves as "being...
