You are absolutely correct, went into Zara, H&M, RiverIsland, Topman, Primark ffs..... they all have some sort of sheepskin bombers out, all in a sudden....
I always thought that it was the Stag that helped them to organise the event. I was talking to one of the ELC staff there, he claimed that they did it mainly for promotional purpose, not really for retailing.
You just reminded me, yes, I think I don't have any leather zipper pulls on my Eastman A-2s. On the other hand, my G-1 came with a matching strip of leather. There are a few people selling strips of leathers on ebay, but you can also ask Eastman to see if they can send you some 'leather...
Try both the American Classic near Covent Garden and Son of Stag, they may not be updating their website that frequently. Although the last time round when I was in the American Classic, they only had smaller sizes A-2s. You just missed the pop-up store by 2weeks.....
Well, I guess not many of you are watching the infamous Game of Thrones anyway.....
I have a slightly different perspective, there are two very important women (my mum and my current partner....) in my life, both of them somehow managed to control my multiple addictions towards certain hobbies...
I can assure you that plumbers earn much more than an average lecturer in any UK institutes. Trust me, the trade off of being a plumber is far less than, let's say a researcher or academic, it is a 24/7 job which follows you back home. You worry about getting grants or you get laid, you get...
I have never heard of popular styles of gay men. I also think that the skinhead image has already become part of the history books. But then again, the infamous far right group 'Britain First' had a couple of their supporters wearing MA-1s a few days ago.

Haha, this is certainly the wrong place to whine about spendings on jackets! ;)
If you are collection the originals, congratulations! The prices these days have rocketed so much that it is better than investing in the stock market! (Well, that is if you started collecting some 10-20yrs ago or...
I guess they are trying to justify the price by the 'Made in Japan' tag. And as always, they are not targeting us here as potential buyers anyway. And it is really quite fascinating they even use YKK zips on such a 'premium' jacket, very patriotic though..... Sure they are aware that Lewis is...
Belstaff jackets are not as bad as some of you think, I seriously believe that there is huge prejudice against certain brands here (Such as Lewis). Yes, Belstaffs are fashion jackets, they are not meant to protect you against any bike accidents, but at least they are not something made by child...
A-2 jacket from Belstaff? Not recommended here I guess. With the price you pay for their jackets, you can get a very decent repro with horsehide.
I do have a jacket made by Belstaff, quality is as good as some of the top makers around here at the forum as most of their jackets are made in Italy...
I have used Parcel Monkey UK and Parcel2Go to send several things locally in the UK and internationally. But like l0fielectronic said, these are just online portals which you can book affiliated couriers for collection and delivery. For international delivery, the best is to choose from the...
I remember it was a one off batch special edition when I started looking at the J100. I eventually got an early DD J100 with red cotton lining as a substitute.
To follow the cowhide availability, what I heard from recent orders from Hong Kong is, when they exhaust the existing stocks and turn fully horse+sheep. It really a pity because their cowhide used to be one of the best.
Not to defend about their 'fashion' status, but I wouldn't go as far as poor man's YSL.... Maybe a Belstaff with more characters? Fingers' crossed that they are not going to up their prices (a bit like ELMC's range) to above £1k. I know that their jackets are selling like hot cakes currently in...
If it's purely cosmetic, I think the US Authentic looks the best, slim and tight. The Aero is still like a suit jacket with pads on the shoulder, I wonder how it will look after breaking-in.
