    Beautiful jacket! Love those plaid wool lining. Your snaps are not complete. It appears from the uploaded images, the snap's stud or sockets are missing. If the eyelets and caps still usable, the job will be much easier. Good luck with your project.

    Friends, I got this HH Cal. It is a beauty! and the jacket it's a great fit. It will be one of my regulars or perhaps will be taken to Bulgaria as one of my main jackets. The jacket came from a Santa Ana ESE Bato. He was cool and shared his other vest and buckle from the "club".

    This one is a first design of their CR. Love the jacket. Heavy horsehide and so very supple. The conmar is a bullet proof Mil. specs used only on the most sophisticated high altitude garments.

    That is the problem with jackets with such high collars. In wool suits, a tailor would fix that no problem. In leather it can still be corrected but is not going to be more labor intensive and not cheap if a tailor works on it.

    Number one will work. However, I do not trust those newer ones. Personally, I like the oldest type because they are solid and do not have any of the spring related difficulties. Good luck with your hunt.

    More #10 Mil zips. My favorite and strongest of these is the Military Conmar. These zips are smaller and less intrusive than #12 zips found in Military gear such as windows ect.

    Riri makes the strongest #10 that I have ever seen. Russians used to clone them for their flight garments. I have seen original #10 riri zippers for sale in Europe and the US. Hard to find them. Their nickle plated #10 zip are hefty,hefty hefty making clown wimpy,wimpy wimpy.

    To be honest, I think it looks just a little big for my personal preference. However, I would rock it with a thicker layer. Arms and length are spot on. Fine find. Those BL are solid an one of the best bang for the money.
