    So, with my limited math skills... 40in=101.6cm P2P x2= 54cmx2= 108cm, Extra room: 108cm-101.6cm= 6.4cm 6.4cm=2.52in. I have a 40in chest myself. It is snug, but not super tight. I prefer it open or with 2-3 buttons undone.
