That's exactly what I was thinking.
It would now be nice if I knew where to get a used one :p . I can't afford to pay for a $250 hat at the last shop in my area that still sells the discontinued hat.
Trying to find a used Akubra Federation or Akubra Campdraft, 7 1/2- 7 5/8. Figured I'd put some feelers out. Maybe somebody knows someone who has one etc.
Can't decide beyeebe the Stetson stetsonian, grand Central, the Akubra Federation or Campdraft. Which one is better for a dressy (ie not workwear per se) 1930s look? Where can I find a less expensive (than buying it new) used ome? 7 1/2 or 7 5 8. Many thanks
Trying to get an Akubra Federation or Campdraft used (it's cheaper than new and I prefer "lived in" hats anyway). Where can I find one in a 7 1 2 or 5/8? Which is better of the two for a classic 30s look?
They've since discontinued it. If anybody is looking to sell one, incidentally, I'm looking for one in a 7 3/8, 7 1/2 or 7 5/8 as I understand some of them run large. My size is 7 1/2 but if you have a 7 3/8 that fits larger let me know. Same for the other sizes. Thanks.
Wanted, for sale or trade: used Stetson stetsonian, Stetson Grand Central or Akubra Federation or Akubra Campdraft, 7 1/2- 7 5/8. Figured I'd put some feelers out. Maybe somebody knows someone who has one etc
Deep blue suit dated 1938. My first 1930s suit and it fits like a glove! I only spent $90 on it!! There are about 20 tiny moth holes scattered throughout the whole suit, but luckily they're not noticeable . ItsI a perfect 46L AND it has a definite waist suppression.
though it's frustrating for me as I've only ever seen '60s-'70s belt backs in the wild, and only know of ONE '30s belt back out there, in my size, which was just sold to a private collector in California. Anybody else ever have trouble finding them in a 46L?
