Vintage Hats from 1920's - 40's Ireland Question

My understanding is that cap wearing was a hold over from the 1571 Act of the English Parliament that was enacted to stimulate domestic wool consumption and general trade. It decreed that on Sundays and holidays, all males over 6 years of age, except for the nobility and "persons of degree"...

What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

Thank you. I've been eying some of the patchwork style newsboy caps for a while. None of them inspired me to purchase one. But this one caught my attention and I just had to buy it. The pattern varies from bold to subtle depending on the lighting.

What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

Mayser newsboy cap received from an ebay purchase. Its a lightweight wool with quilted lining. My hunch is that it'll go well with a lot of colors in my wardrobe.

I believe that @GHT owns a couple of fur felt hats from gamble and Gunn. I'm really happy with the newsboy caps that I've purchased from them.

    Teardrop Workshop

Thanks. I guess I've seen more teardrop shapes where the REAR crown height was significantly lower than the front. C shaped hats seem to have crowns where the front and rear heights are the same.
