My understanding is that cap wearing was a hold over from the 1571 Act of the English Parliament that was enacted to stimulate domestic wool consumption and general trade. It decreed that on Sundays and holidays, all males over 6 years of age, except for the nobility and "persons of degree"...
My wife went on a vacation with her girlfriend's and came home with Covid. She's slowly recovering, but still gets tired easily. Somehow I managed to avoid catching it. We're just coming out of isolation.
Thank you. I've been eying some of the patchwork style newsboy caps for a while. None of them inspired me to purchase one.
But this one caught my attention and I just had to buy it. The pattern varies from bold to subtle depending on the lighting.
Mayser newsboy cap received from an ebay purchase.
Its a lightweight wool with quilted lining.
My hunch is that it'll go well with a lot of colors in my wardrobe.
Thanks.
I guess I've seen more teardrop shapes where the REAR crown height was significantly lower than the front.
C shaped hats seem to have crowns where the front and rear heights are the same.
I've been eying Derby's for while. But I want one with a "western flair" where the front and back dip considerably
Something along the lines of this photo I stole from the internet
Can I buy any bowler / Derby and reshape it??
