On another forum dedicated to another topic, I posted a WTB ad.
About a month later I had someone DM or PM me a message saying they had what I was looking for and etc. It was so obvious that it was a scam, they used pictures from someone else from another forum.
Also, it looks like accounts...

The photos come from here. Perhaps Redfokker's account has been hacked?
Actually just got off the phone with JL, to get their email address to start a discussion, as I had used their webpage to contact them previously. At this point I thought I should just jump.
I would not recommend much. The problem is insurance, based on the value. Too much risk when this much value is on the line in my humble opinion. And then there is tax fraud for the seller... They can lose their ability to ship to your country with the carrier they used, or so I understand...
Sad I could not get the jacket colors to match, but I think it gets the point across to a maker.
I suppose I could live with the zippers on the underside as well, but I like them on top, they don't rub on stuff that way.
It has to be stamped to be legal. But sure, there is always risk.
You could make it yourself too. Honestly not too difficult.

Some of you may be implying that I can not tell the difference between chrome tan and veg tan, and I would say you are correct.
Here is what I SPECIFICALLY do not like about chrome tanned leather (or what I find as typical features of chrome tanned leather).
1. Depending on how it is done, it...
Before this gets into a leather discussion, which is not necessary, I want to state this for this thread.
I am not throwing darts, blame, quality etc. of chrome tan or veg tan leather. My interest in veg tan versus chrome is entirely personal, not based on some perceived quality that pits one...
I always thought the combination dyed process was interesting.
I believe what you are saying, is that you can not have natural colored leather if you veg tan it, as the process colors the hide.
If you chrome tan a hide, it can stay the natural color? That is the only way to have natural...
No worries.
I can say this with complete clarity and understanding of the leather I have in my hands. I do not enjoy chrome tanned leather that is not dyed through. I put up with this on off the rack jackets as I fewer options. If I have an option between the two, I won't purchase the chrome...
