How many of you guys ordered from the Aero sale?

Mailed with Chloe the last couple of days. The measurements should be confirmed by now and I hope to get the "go" by today or Monday.

How many of you guys ordered from the Aero sale?

I ordered a Rockafella in black goat for £616.26. New price £1170. I would never buy an aero at this price point. That's what a fully customised field leather jacket cost me.

-15% at Aero, but only this week.

I have ordered a Rockafella in black goat for £616.25 . Now it would be £ 1170. That's absolutly crasy.

    Field Leathers

My new Field/Toni Idaho arrived today. Not being an expert in the field, I nonetheless dare to say, that the quality is the same as with my jacket made by the man himself. It's one of the 500 quid ones in the unspecified brown cowhide. There is a lot of grain showing already. The hide is very...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

A Field/Toni Idaho is on its way to me. I should receive it by monday.

You are right. Where did you found these prices? When I was looking up the DHL prices for a large (60x60x40) and heavy parcel they quoted 83 quid. Ah, I just saw that you quoted from Aero. Maybe they subsidise their shipping fees

Maybe aero doesn't use DHL. I checked the prices on their (DHL) UK website and they are eye-watering. Giving the cost of living crises over there, the brits probably don't think much of it.

Fit check: 25" length vs 26" length on a 6'2" guy.

I think you have to take the fit of a jacket into account too. If it is tight as moto jackets usually are,, you are better off with a shorter jacket which doesn't hit you bum. That way it won't ride up. On looser fitting jackets it doesn't matter much. The exact length needed is in any case...

    Field Leathers

Yes. It would be just a third of that in the other diection.

I just got the final quote for the 'Toni-Jacket'. 500+60 for modifications+90(!) for shipping to Germany = 650 pound sterling. Now I am thinking again... In the other direction it would only be 27 €. Brexit - what a splendid idea.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

The inscription in German reads: "Trust in me - I protect you"

Currently spending a lot of money on jackets, but someday I want one too. I need a slim 42 with long sleeves.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

This one I bought used, but I think they rereleased the jacket under the Lee 101 label. I have the same jacket in a dark indigo shade (one size up). The new one features buttons with "Lee 101" imbossed, while the older ones just says "Lee". I like the paler shade and the smaller size better. I...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Lee Rider on a sunny spring day.

    Field Leathers

No, at first I insisted on a darker shade of badalassi, which is currently not offered. I changed my mind now as I am getting the brown halfbelt from Tony Field (so to speak).

    Field Leathers

I believe the lining is some kind of cotton twill. It became a aviator style cross zip with a hercules back in cognac badalassi

    Field Leathers

I just ordered a halfbelt. As per Sam modifications can be made regarding the sleeve and body length (+60)and the lining (another 60). For 560 you can't get an aero jacket (except used of course), so for me, with my ape arms, a no brainier.

    Washing leather jackets

Normal wash cycles include spinning in different directions and that at a slow speed, so that the fabric or leather tumbles over itself. Sheer forces may tear the seams apart if they are already weakened by age. I think it is worthwhile to test if pulling the sleeves inside the main body might...

    Leather treatment and expectations

Just use a touch of urad. That will restore the protective top layer. If you want to use it on the whole jacket, consider using a conditioner first if the jacket appears to be dry.
