Just found this Vintage 40's Jerry Wright jacket with "ZIPP" zipper (never heard of it before) and can get if for about 250€...not sure if I should grab it
Pretty cool jacket and the leather looks fantastic! JL seems to make really nice stuff....I still regret that I didn't visit them while I was in San Francisco end of 2019. I've never handled Horween Vermont before and have no idea how it feels compared to other known leathers.
Congrats, nice find and condition looks quite good! The overall fit and jacket length is perfect IMO (for my taste). Sleeves are a bit short but I guess still OK for a cross zip. I like it a lot!
Too funny, two minutes ago I sent a WhatsApp to Theodoros about this jacket but as black shearling version (not sure if he can make it in black shearling) :)
@Monitor I guess you're right that they bought vintage jackets, putting in their labels and selling for 1k€+ Nevertheless the jackets are sold out...
The seller on Ebay Germany would have sold the GDR one to me for 120€ but still too expensive for me.
Very good find, congrats! Yeah, many Gems can be found on Vinted :) The body length looks good (for my taste), sleeves are slightly too long...probably you can roll up the sleeves.
This Goatskin jacket from Swedish maker Out Legacy (not sure about the quality) reminds me a bit of the old leather jacket from the former GDR which I found on German Ebay - Our Legacy obviously used German RUHR zipper as main zipper which is known for older German leather jacket brands...
Many thanks to all for your honest feedback. The quality of the fabric looks quite good and the lining and stitching quality I do already know from my Trucker jacket - on par with Aero I would say. The pattern may look good or too intense as highlighted by @Bfd70 and @handymike If I knew that...
