Congratulations on cutting the drinking part out!! I understand that can be exceptionally difficult to do.
I have not ever been drawn to alcoholic drinks, for which I am thankful. Jackets and the collection/wearing/discussing of such is a much more intriguing topic for me.
Putting this Indian Ranger back up for sale. It is a bit more broken in and I will update some photos of it tomorrow.
Just not getting the usage it deserves, and it's just not the greatest fit for me overall. Nice Horween FQHH - which is not offered on this model anymore. All zippers & snaps...
Nice pick up there! Loved visiting Langlitz in summer of 2023, however my wallet is extremely thankful that I do not live close. It would be hard to keep funds around for sure. :)
So I purchased a jacket today. Shocking...right? To probably nobody on this forum who has been around any length of time.
What did I buy? Well just another black cross-zip, made of leather, that likely will fit pretty well. Was a decent deal.
No big deal right - well that's what I thought...
Well I for one will watch it, but I could not ever wear it.
What is still there does not look too bad, good restoration project and with a good cleaning & conditioning this could really be a stunning vintage piece.
I give them an E for Effort - at least this one very important dimension is on...
That would be Horween CXL FQHH and CXL Steerhide. Both are well regarded, but you can search and find much more than plenty of information about these on here.
2022 produced CXLSH Ridley is ~ 7.8 lbs.
2020 produced Indian Ranger in lighter CXLFQHH is ~ 6.8 lbs.
I've owned a much heavier Bootlegger 9.5 lbs; tagged FQHH but I think it was from the "Storse" days. Short sleeves or I would have kept it. Read about it here with some poor photos -=...
Really the best way to learn in here is to search older threads on similar topics. Cal's / AL's are favorites of many on this forum. Give this multi-page thread a read and you will indeed gather a lot of information...
If you like it, keep it, if not, sell it along.
Board Racers have the "racing shirt" fit - Tee-shirt only under it.
If you want something with some "ease" to it, try the same size in their 4-pocker café racer.
T J - how are the sleeves if you zip them up?
It fits the way a Board Raced is designed to fit - snug (almost tight) but doesn't look as "tight" on you here.
How does it feel on you? The sleeves could be ~ 1" longer but otherwise I'd keep it as-is, if you like to slim-fit and clean lines, etc.
If you are near Chicago this Aldencrest FQHH with removable fur collar may be worth a look - $300 - on Craigslist

^^ +1 - they are not hurting anything, but if you remove them, it is likely you will wish you had left them.
Of course, if they really are not your thing, or the jacket itself is not, do the Fedora lounge thing and move it along.... :)
Sharp jacket! Nice grain developing
For those of us more used to English measurements
Sleeve - 63CM = 24.8 inches
Pit to Pit - 56CM = 22.0 inches
Waist - 52CM = 20.5 inches
Shoulder - 46CM = 18.1 inches
