If I have a look in my wardrobe, I see a lot of different N-1 jackets, each has it's place. But when my wife has a look into my wardrobe, she sees a lot of same jackets lol. The Mil-Tec is what it is, I rock it without caring about stains, rips and tears like the old seamen would. It's looking...

You look so happy! Best use for this type of jacket! I wore one of mine today (the A-2) in misty rain but felt cozy warm. So utilarian Jackets!

For better comparison: First two pics, size 44, factory buttons, pale stencil in 1950s fashion, last two pics size 42, original mil spec buttons, stencil in 1944 fashion. 42 fits you way better I would say. Happy that I sent it to you!

This looks perfect in my opinion! Beautifully rugged 1940s US seaman style. Torso length, sleeve width, sleeve taper, shoulder seam positions... nice! And the sleeves end at wrist like on originals that fit good. I know it feels strange with the internal cuffs but it's the way it is. Enjoy it in...

Will, I bought them on ebay. There are several sellers in Germany who have them for low prices. But there are some military surplus online stores in Germany as well, who have them. Have a search on ebay.de or amazon.de

Before you decide, some pics of the jacket: Stencil with stains: Better buttons, stitched on with linen thread, but east west oriented instead of north south like on originals, but who cares: Missing Navy Department Contract Label. Otherwise unworn, clean and undamaged (foto doesn't show...

..if you keep the one I send to you, you could take off the Navy label of your jacket and stitch it into it. It's a pretty good reproduction label in my opinion with even a proper period Contract number (Pritzker). You 'd have to explain the missing label on the one you pass on, though :)

Germany to Austria with DHL (insurance included) € 14,49 if 2 kg, € 16,49 if 5 kg. I think that's fair.

I still have a size 42 in olive in my wardrobe. It's still new and unworn. I only messed up the stencil and caused tiny stains at the letters. Plus I removed the Navy Contract label for reasons I can't remember. But it has the proper buttons as I swapped the originals on this one also. You can...

Looks good on you although perhaps a bit bigger than you would need. I find it a lovely jacket for the price tag! Just didn't like the button color but this is an easy fix. Do you contemplate about getting a size smaller? I had them come in different sizes and chose the one that fit best and...

They are cut and sized very well for us Europeans unlike many asian brands. I would suggest trying size 38. It is the smallest size they come in. But it will be larger on you than on me in my pictures (it's a size 38 as well). As this jacket is not as warm as the Pike Brothers version you will...

Some pics of my Mil-Tec. I ordered three different sizes and kept the one that fit the best. The sleeves are the most fitted of all my Deck Jackets. Bronson's are a tad too short on me. But with Mil-Tec I could even roll the cuff up like I see on many of the old Navy Photographs. True, the liner...

Sounds crazy but right next to my authentic 1978 A-2 Deck Jacket my favorite N-1 at the moment when it comes to fit and function is a cheapo one from Mil-Tec (paid 75 Euro for it). Materials are by far not up to the higher end makers, but it looks surprisingly good except the low placement of...

Welcome to the Lounge, Herrvallmo! I have worn several of Pike Brothers Deck Jackets for a long time. And I still wear one of them occasionally. Personally I am not too fond of their cut/dimensions, they are a bit boxy for my liking and the sleeves shaped too column like but this is purely a...

Although it is funny, that this old thread resurfaces after two years, I like it to see that there is still someone interested in this kind of stuff here on the lounge. My oldest watch is a 1815 dated english pocket watch made by the typical Coventry co-up which employed the so called...
