We attended my wife's Oregon State University 25 year club banquet this evening, she was recognized for her years of service to the college. Wore a DB pin stripe and a black German Lord's Hat (Homburg). This, paired with an
orange tie represented my Alma Mater's colors in style.
Went to the theater last night to see some friends in the play "Matilda". Trotted out the Aubergine Longhair, which was modeled after an image on the webs, 1890s style. I need to get down to to see Mike, a tall crown stiff felt is in my sights.
Incredible piece of Homburg history here Stefan. The colors are interesting, I see Gris in the label, so a form of gray? Love the age and patina of this one.
Beautiful hat Max. I have a Stephen L. Stetson with this Carter feature. Don't know if anyone else used them.
Incredible Cav you got there! I have never had the guts to actually remove the buttoned in sweat in one of these Carter equipped hats.
Lots of history with this one Max. The...
Very cool stiff felt. Unusual to see one in the "Brent" size.
Very nice old Stetson Joe. I agree that the Whippet has a mythical following, but every collection needs at least one to be considered well rounded. Looks great on your well rounded noggin.
Looks great on you good sir. I just...
Forgot to add the photos from last weeks trip to central Oregon. Wore my 1942 Rose Bowl custom from NW Hats as it seems to be quite sturdy. The National Park for the Oregon Painted Hills was our expedition last Thursday. Never had been there and I'm a lifelong Oregon resident. Very...
I love this hat, everything about it. I would find all sorts of outfits it would go with. Stellar!
Very nice! I do like the color of that felt.
Wow, what a finish on that French example. Impressive.
You have the "god light" (photography term) going on big time in these shots. Very nice form.
Love the color on that old Adam! The Manhattan is interesting, is it a high end hat for it's day or more of an 'off the rack' cheap and serviceable fedora?
Trip to the store on a wet, blustery day. Weather called for a stingy to not blow away. Went with a early 60s Navy blue Borsalino stingy in mirtillo (blue berry).
Such a lovely color Danielle. The felt seems to be just luxurious!
Nice to see a pristine oilskin liner on this one. There is just something about the quality of this era.
Love a back bow hat. The finish and color of this one is super.
Love the color of this British stiff felt. A year ago, I picked up a boxtop with all kinds of Moore's info from the early 1960s. Been looking for a Moore's hat to go with it for a while now.
Kind of a maiden voyage for the Aubergine Rabbit Lord's Hat. One of my more unusual custom creations by Mike Miller of NW Hats. The Lord's hat is a homburg that is "dressed down" for casual wear by not having an edge binding. The long hair finish is really special, called melusine. Styled from a...
