    I read in one of my Bob books that they were concerned that pilots may have carried lucky charms or photos of loved ones in the jacket pockets and if they got shot down and captured the enemy could get info from them. I know that maps etc were tucked down in the top of the flying boots. Dave.

    Hi capes, Yes mine has the nylon feed and my broken grain jackets have brass ones. The seller also said that he used to repair original Irvins by hand years ago as part of his job. I found that really good cos he said that the Eastmans were really close to the originals.
