ive seen 52 christmass`s ( ok some ive not seen, but i`m here so i was thier somewhere ! ) i found you all by chance,
as a todler jungle book came out and is still my fave film , still got the 33rpm single with the story book, one side read along,
the other bare necesaties and king of the swingers, pluscd versions for the car, and found another 33 with elephants on parade +2,
at 13/14 1979, i was a teddy boy with a red drape my mother made (she was a taylor in the war years) , my first concert i went to at demontford hall , was to see the DARTS daddy cool,
that was before i had the drape so might have been 12 "on my own aswell, well me and amate " was always out to see the RnR bands then, a skin head for a bit at16, rebeling, then the alternative look that turned to the hepcat rockabilly look,
then moved to Birmingham at 25 on the rockin seen, Duke of york,, shipashore, kilidscope,, irish centre, hemsby, the moon ,
if you no them places you will no them cats and places , glowed hot with cool, cars, bikes, clothes, hair, music was perfect 40s/50s hep-cats , if your younger than that , you would die at the vintage rare then clothes , my girlfriend then and jivepartner ,mother of our 2 girls , 18 years together and 8 years apart now, her dresses and tops ,skirts ect would be the highest priced ones today , the cream of the crop but sadly most has gone, the mens stuff was the top items, but 501s
biker boots or penny loafers. white t-shirt mainly .
i had a british zoot suit that got ruined in a moldy flat,
original black leather jacket, black with dogtooth black andwhiteshoulders, great shirts, ive still got a hiwian shirt,
i had a burmuda? shirt and shorts with the old carribian island names,
since i was7 i played cornet , stoped around 13, started again about 22 on and of till 25 till 35 break for kids and back 7 years ish, all ruff times , the start might have been younger,
i was the cuite kid on stage doinga solo before the brass band started,,lol,, my dad used to tell me of then for jazzing things up....
ive done a lot of short jazz courses overthe time, and other study , im mainly self taught, ( good job realy . the person next door who plays with the brass band says she is not aloud to play jazz,) that criminal, a good music teacher should encurage all music, they should ashamed at calling themselves musicians, the majority of jazz players i no would wipe the floor with there best players and 1 jazz player playing differant instruments against each of the sections best, in any style ,
not just what they can do brass band crap, and from sight reading music on the spot, brass band fools.
anyway , i teach trumpet /flugelhorn, i also service, repair,custom build , advice on everything trumpet and flugelhorn, yes everything.
im not proffesional , still time,
last year playing with 4 bands = 1/ african township jazz,
2/ ellington style swing band 3/ my sometimes 4 piece jazz band 4/ a funk, dub, grove, original band that plays festivals we did 7 fests chidfest / brighton way,, curios yellow ,essex,,
mudfest, newark,, and others,
with those and the other gigs with the other bands,
i made before any fuel, food or anything the grand total of £70, 2 festivals fuel paid for, thats it,
so next time you see a band or say that not many jazz or original bands or musicians are around thats why,
all that time and always constant learning and practice , ive spent thousands, it takes longer than any other profesion doctors, layers, ect but you dont expect them to work for free?
im a carer that gets £127 a week to look after my 90 year old mum, but it gives me time to do my music.

so more expence ,im trying to get a jazz style , be a bit smarter, and at 52 aclassic look rather than an old boy in jeans,
so ive got a modern hugo boss bebop black pin stripe cross breast suit, £40... a MnS 40S CROSS breast charcoal pin stripe its to short in the arms, shame as its very nice,
ive always had brogues and 2 cheap pairs , brown and black ive had and look cheap to wear , im near finnished turning them into twotone style ones (hugo suit has brown buttonsand stripe ) so shoes will look great,honest,
ive got a vintage leather suitcase that im changing into a instrument case thats brown full grain leather rounded top edges ,very cool, ive got 5 40s ties coming with abstact paint paterns, 2 newsboy 8 panel caps and a dogtooth straw hat trilby, and im making some grey sued spats for some chelse boots , sounds cheesy but im sure you can see i have a bit of no how , i will put pics up when it done, money is my main drawback, and i mean pence not pounds,
any direction or ideas apprciated.
sorry if the spelling anouys you , im dislycsic and i try to remember , i still have to think of road ,Rd, to rememberthe way around b or d goes and ive read and rote it a million times,
